Losing to the Patriots

I really don't care if the Cowboys win or lose facing the Patriots next week. What I do think matters is....

in what fashion do they win or lose. The NFL Nation is certainly watching.

This upcoming game, even though AFC, could (read WILL) effect the confidence (and general will of attitude) of this team going forward through the rest of the year. Win -- possible playoff spot. Lose -- even though AFC opponent... I think it is over for this year. The Commanders and Giants are too good. I do not buy into the Eagles, but we will find out next week for sure.

The Cowboys just need to avoid the blowout or meltdown.

Thoughts?

Commanders and Giants too good? :laugh2:

Give me a break the Skins are an average team with an average QB who have benefitted from a cupcake schedule. The Giants always start off good and then have a meltdown at the end. I don't expect anything different this year. Wouldn't surprise if Philly and the Boys are the two best teams in the division.

Like it or not, the Skins and Giants are good ball clubs. Lets see if the Cowboys can answer. I am not high on the Eagles.

The Cowboys played one of their worst games in recent memory and still beat the deadskins. As for NY last year the Boys embarrassed them with Jon ****ing Kitna under center.

You wouldn't care if we won? Hmm.

I actually think the Cowboys and Eagles are the better of the 4 teams.

i think the who should we cut - Romo or somebody else poll (for Bruce carter) is a better thread than this

I quote the Tuna....."Get your expectations up"

So you think if we win, we have a "possible" playoff spot, but a loss ends our seasons?

Not even sure how to respond to this nonsense.

First off, the 2011 Pats are not the 1993 Cowboys. they're not even the 2007 Pats. Winning up there against this Pats team is not the quite the task you have it built up in your mind to be.

Would it be an accomplishment? Yes. Will it be diffciult? Absolutely. But not as tough as defeating an 11-0 Saints team in a near must win scenario.

IF we win and I like our chances, we'll win the division.

IF we lose, it's far from over. Giants, Skins and Eagles will all struggle to surpass 10 wins. I'll go out on a limb and predict 8-10 for the eagles, 8-10 for the giants and 7-9 for the skins.

Given the talent on this team and more importantly, the demonstrated ability of the team so far this year.....

I believe we would come back from 2-3 to finish 11-5 given the rest of the schedule we play. Provided we remain a relatively healthy team. Not perfect health, just more so than we've been the first month.

Now if we win, well than the sky's the limit. We could secure a top 2 seed.

Huh? The Commanders D has improved and the Shanny running attack appears to be coming around but the talent at QB is middle of the road at best. Skins playing a 4th place schedule. The Giants are surviving on D by creating a pass rush that is covering up the JAG secondary. Eli is Eli, you can't trust him and I bet most Gints fans would lean toward the same answer. Take a look at the Giants games from November on...brutal. I don't think those teams are "too good." I'm sure we can handle our own against them. It's going to be a dogfight the whole way in this division because we like to shoot ourselves in the foot. The Eagirls have speed but are small on both sides of the ball and their in the wrong division for that kind of football.

Reverse the question...what does a blowout of the Pats by the Cowboys do for this team with the NFL nation watching?

if we win - maybe we have a chance at the playoffs..lol

Thanks for taking the entire post out of context.

I didn't find your first sentence convincing. If we win, I don't think you'll give a damn how we won.

Not so fast, there's some stiff competition.:D Besides, winning isn't important to him.

I have 2 thoughts . You incorrectly used the word "effect", when you needed to use "affect". Also, Applebee's new wonton tacos are freaking delicious.
