that was from espn - here's the cowboys list:

OUT:

WR Terry Glenn - Still out for this week's game with a knee injury. Glenn underwent arthroscopic knee surgery on Sept. 13 and the Cowboys are hoping he might be able to return some time near the middle of the season.

DID NOT PRACTICE:

CB Anthony Henry - Missed his first game of the season Monday night with a high-ankle sprain. Henry will likely be questionable, at best, for Sunday's game with the Patriots. Phillips said Henry spent last week in a protective walking boot but didn't sound too encouraged that he would be able to play Sunday against the Patriots.

FULL PARTICIPATION IN PRACTICE:

LB Kevin Burnett - The third-year linebacker suffered a thigh contusion after taking a helmet to his leg late in the third quarter. Burnett did not return but his status for this week's game remains unclear. Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips said, "We'll check and see how he is." Burnett was able to participate in the walk-through although it was without pads and helmets.

S Courtney Brown - The rookie safety has missed the last two weeks with a torn biceps injury but was able to practice in the walk-through. He might not be ready to return for Thursday's practice.

S Keith Davis - Has missed two games with a shoulder/pectoral injury. Wade Phillips said he has heard Davis proclaiming he will play this week against the Patriots, and added "He wasn't saying that last week." So Phillips acknowledged that Davis is improving and hopes to get him back on the field this Sunday. Davis is considered the team's best special teams player over the last three years and the Cowboys have given up a punt and kickoff for a touchdown the last two weeks.

LB Oliver Hoyte - Has now missed three straight games with a neck injury. Wade Phillips said Hoyte is "progressing" but didn't list his status for this week's game. Hoyte was able to participate in the walk-through.

you'd at least think he'd be on the injury report.
Now, I could be way off the base but I'm just wondering if WP is playing coy with Henry. Just last week WP and JJ thought Henry should be able to play this Sunday but all of sudden this week, WP said it doesn't look good. I don't know what to make of it.

i don't think i was reading an official report. but even so, i would have thought if our starting CB is out or Q or D or whatever the letter is you want to use, it would show up there.

in any event, it does look like he may be out. : (

I'm not slayed that Henry is going to be out against the Pats. I like Henry but he has trouble with speed and the Pats bring speed at every turn. This is one game where Reeves and his fear of getting beat deep may come in handy. If Henry has one weakness it's the deep ball.

Reeves will be step for step with Moss, and still get burned. Speed isn't everything.

True! Now speed + athleticism + experience is another thing.......I do like Henry's strength versus Moss with Hamlin behind him though

Personally, I like the circumstances for this game, from Dallas' perspective.

They have absolutely nothing to lose...They're expected to lose...Henry being out just puts more pressure on the young corners to step up in a big game against a big time opponent...I like that kind of test not unlike the makeshift secondary had to do against Dallas on Monday night...They too rose to the occasion (Aided by some lofty balls from Romo, of course).

You learn a lot about yourself and a team in times of adversity that you won't in other times...Fans will learn a lot about the Cowboys on Sunday despite the stakes being pretty minimal in the bigger picture.

They escaped a loss on Monday and basically have a free pass for a loss this weekend...All the more reason for them to rise to the occasion.

I like the prospects, regardless of the outcome

I'd rather have all my guys ready to go than to be without. This includes Henry. If he can't go then Newman, Reeves and Nate Jones will have to get the job done at CB but I would love to have Henry in this game.

don't we only have 4 healthy cornerbacks? what are we gonna do when they go 5 wide?

You have Courney Brown was is a converted S who played CB and Oglesby

I would also expect Dallas will play a lot of zone coverages in this game

That's the one good thing about barely winning Monday night. The world expects us to be trashed, so this squarely takes the pressure off of us. Get it done Reeves!!

We better well better get more of a pass rush on Tommy than other teams have been able to or it will not matter who is back there. It's like teams think he has a red jersey on back there and you can't get near him. Whatever Wade did to have him throw what 3 or 4 picks against SD last year he needs to do. Wade did ok. Rivers put them in poor spots with his picks.

edunce would love this thread.

Bottom line is it hurts us to not have Henry playing.

And news flash... Hes usually outmatched on speed on a weekly basis so that is a very weak arguement.

I agree. I don't see that we are better with one of our starters out than when he is in. If he can't go he can't go and others will have to get the job done but no we are not better without Henry.

Reeves is one of the fastest players on the team.

He's also playing very solid.

Henry is hurt, slow, and gets burned more than any player on our team.
your love for him is obvious,I would only say he is playing fine with what they are asking him to do. He will be in his 8 yard cushion this week. I would take henry's experience any day over Reeves speed. We better be able to create pressure with our D-line or it could be a long day

Personally, I like Reeves better than Henry.

However-what educan keeps failing to see is that b/c the Pats will spread them 3-5 wide, we NEED an extra body in there, which is why Henry's loss could be a killer.

With that being said, I hope C. Brown/Stanback can step up.
