It is funny how crucial plays can get lost by the time the game ends.

In my opinion we don't win today's game if a 49er doesn't line up in the neutral zone.

I'm talking about our first TD to Miles Austin.

We would have been off the field and punting if not for the 49er in the neutral zone.

It wasn't lost on me. That was big. The announcer said the guy wasn't in the neutral zone. I'm not sure, but we were due a break. It has been brutal.

Perhaps, but Miles was denied a PI early in the game in the end zone.

How about Harbaugh turning down the 1st down for the field goal?

He was lined up in the neutral zone.

That was huge, no question about it, but I think the neutral zone infraction was bigger. We had absolutely no momentum and were down 2 TD's. One play later we are within a score and had some momentum. Just huge.

The 4th and 5 to Witten was gigantic as well. That was the game right there. Romo squeezed in a tight throw and Witten made a great catch on the sideline.

Or how about that bad snap that bounced perfectly to alex smith and became a PI in the end zone against us.

These things go both ways.

If #26 falls on the ball, game over.

Also, Harbaugh taking the 3 points was big. They could of ran more time off and still had money akers to kick it later.

Football is a game of inches... had certain things fell a different way last week, then the 'boys would've won.

This week, a few things fell the 'boys way.

Count me as one who will take the W and not worry one bit about the what ifs.

same here!

I was upset that after we tied it at 14, the ensuing kickoff was squibbed. We just tied it, have the momentum, and they squib kick it giving SF midfield. I felt that was the turning point if we lost the game, but that is just my opinion.

I am not one to second guess play calls, but that fullback fake pitch to austin was idiotic.

1) They tried it on the goal line but it was blown up and stopped because of a penalty (i think it was a penalty)

2) They tried it again at a crucial point in the game when the D already knows the damn play and formation.

3) Austin is in the backfield; that alone draws attention

4) It is a stupid gadget play to begin with putting a WR out of his element

5) The play was reintroduced to the NFL because of Madden (video game)

At least Free did something right that game.

Definitely not one of his better games pass protecting wise.

Worst play by play and color commentary I've seen since we were getting the third tier guys at CBS back in the early part of the decade. Horrible.

Had San Diego not turned the ball over so much, they may have well beaten New England today.

If Ron Washington were a football coach, he would say, "That how football go!"

And that's the beauty of football. How many those "crucial" plays that get swept under the rug and forgot about by the end of the game have the Steelers, or Jets, or even the Packers lived off of? Too many to count.

Myself, I could care less about that neutral zone infraction that propelled us to victory.

We won as a team and overcame adversity. Tony Romo had a gutsy, career defining game that allowed the Cowboys to win in overtime. My hats off to the team!
