I have been giving the guy credit the first 3 weeks but he also deserves the blame on this game. Kept running Zeke into a stacked wall. No screens to loosen the pressure. This was a plain offense last night and the Saints had their way. Very ill prepared game plan and couldn't adjust.

Side note: At the end of the game when we needed big yards why was Witten on the field running routs? He is too slow and not using our weapons correctly. Jarwin should have been on the field at that point. Just poor personal management.

So, Moore gets the blame for the Loss? Right, that makes sense. Blame one guy when you have players who fail to execute. For example:

1. Witten fumbles in Saints territory.
2. Zeke fumbles on fourth and 1 conversion.
3. Amari has two offensive PI calls and cannot separate from Lattimore al night.
4. Cobb drops key 3rd down conversion.
5. Prescott misses Cobb in the end zone.
6. OL can create any holes for Zeke.
7. Zeke can't make it happen on his own.

Should I continue?

Coaching staff. I guaranteed one of the reasons witten came back was to start. Remember Witten isn't going to teach a young guy. He said it before. He is there to play. So u got to trot his slow behind out there. Garrett type of move. Witten quit on the team last year at the most awkward time last year. He should of had to earn his spot back.

Also what happen to all the screen we use to run? Its like the saints were running our offense and we grabbed linehans offense from last year.
Offense was terrible. And some terrible offensive pass interference calls also helped stop our offense. And our leaders turning the ball over. Witten and Zeke both fumbled at terrible times.

Sorry but I got to agree with all of this and more. Good post. The Saints D played lights out and so did our D. We were short just one bulb.

I could go through the same list every week with Lineham as the offensive coordinator

I'm wondering if he is just trying to save some of his playbook for bigger and more important games. Not that the Saints game wasn't important. But, wonder if he is saving some of his playbook for bigger games like the Eagles for the division or the better teams that we will play later in the season. Seems like he is scared to reveal too much of his playbook too soon.

He needs a big bounce back game against the Packers.

Funny thing....if Witten and Zeke don't fumble the strategy would have worked.

I felt much of the problems was the play of the OLine. Saints were giving the Oline fits and while it did not result in sacks it did result in Dak taking some big hits as he was releasing the ball and it effected the run game where Dallas was unable to provide much room to run. In my view it starts up front and the best game plans will not work if you are not getting production out of the Oline.

I can't disagree with the OP at all. We didn't open up the offense properly. I would have liked to have seen Pollard more involved. Too much vanilla first down running. Still a big fan of Moore and what we're doing but we didn't present ourselves as the aggressor. Maybe a few shots downfield to loosen up the D? We didn't dictate and kind of "cowarded" down to the environment and crowd. We're not quite the "bully" yet. With all this being said, the fumbles were absolute killers. Great job by the defense.

The Cowboys lost by 2. If any one of about 50 different things had gone differently, the team wins. I could "put the loss" on Zeke, the o-line, the d-line, Witten's fumble, playcalling on D, playcalling on O, etc. and be right because if any of them had been better, its a W for Dallas.

Moore didn't do a good job last night. He deserves every bit of criticism that he is getting. It seriously did look like Linehan with the button hooks, repeated straight runs into a stacked line, no movement, etc. I just object to putting it all on him because a whole lot of people contributed to the loss.

Especially the Witten fumble. What a great run. Looked like he had the ball high and tight but the guy still managed to punch it free. There is never a good time for a fumble, even if you only done it 9 times in 16 years.

Still a team game last time I checked.

Sometimes go out the window when adversity is so great. Last night Dallas faced real adversity and came up punks. Dak, if he is the leader of this team, needs to squarely admit his failure and vow to never be so passive again. Only 1 deep throw all night Dak? Really. And that was to Blake Jarwin who caught it. Then back to dump off city. Oh the receivers aren't open yada yada yada. For some reason every team that has played this Saint's team has lit them up passing yards wise. Just last week Russell Wilson threw for over 400 yards on this Saint's defense? Yep they still lost, but Dallas came out and never took advantage of that. They played very conservative. You have to test them Dak. I think Dak reverted back to his old ways, I can't trust myself or my receivers unless they are wide open. Dak needed to launch more 20+ yard throws and he didn't. So if we are going to praise Dak for the wins, he needs to be held accountable for the losses. I think he played poorly last night. I wanted to see how Dak responds to adversity and last night he disappointed me. He didn't put the team on his back and get it done. He needed to be more aggressive. He had a chance to win the game and he takes a friggin sack. He has not progressed in that way yet. Plus, not a single throw past 10 yards till the last one. That was some bad Dak and offense on that last series. I think Moore called a poor game plan. Unless of course Garrett told him, Kellen, I got this, I am going to call this game plan tonight. Who knows?

No, it was on JG who, clearly, neutered the offense.

This. It was the Jason Garrett Conservative Game Plan for Big Game on the Road rearing it's ugly head yet again. The only thing Moore was allowed to do was motion Cooper into the slot (Cooper seemed a 1/2 step slow due to the ankle injury).

Also, the fumbles. It was a team loss, but we've seen this script from Garrett since 2011. Every big game on the road, he turtles and plays 50/50 win in the 4th quarter ball. Sometimes it works out (like 2018), and sometimes it doesn't. Nevertheless, they should have remained aggressive as the previous 3 games. Look at TB on the road in LA. They went after it and put up 48 pts (the defense contributed the last td).

Moore played a very conservative game and really reined some good offensive trends that we had going the first three games. He needs to get back to what was working:
  • Jet action and misdirection
  • High percentage of play action passes
  • Passing more on 1st down
  • Quick, decisive passing game

2. Zeke didn’t really fumble
3. Amari swats his hands from holding his jersey and gets called for a push

I agree with the rest

Exactly. Where was any of that?

Yes, please do.........it hurts so good.

What we think happened is irrelevant. Zeke fumbled in the eyes of refs and it cost us 3 points. Amari was called for PI regardless of whether it actually was.
