Was checking out my favorite Giants forum to see if they have anything to say about the Cowboys. Came across one subject which dealt with their complaining about the number of Cowboys fans in the northeast.

Of course they complain there too many Cowboy fans and that their rude and obnoxious. Naturally they believe all Cowboy fans only follow the team when they winning and when Cowboys lose they fade away. Several complained there too many in Florida, West Virginia, etc. Another complained about Washington, D.C. area. It was funny. They just couldn't get away from those pesky Cowboy fans.

Finally it ended up with one guy saying there Cowboy fans everywhere and it was disgusted. Also went on to the history of why so many fans became Cowboy fans. Said in the 70s people were either Cowboy or Steeler fans cause the Giants stunk. Then those 70s people raised their kids to be Cowboy fans and there was the great 90s dynasty. Now the Cowboys here back here again and those damn Cowboy fans are all over the place again.

They also upset cause so many Cowboy fans they meet have never even been to Texas. Go on to say if they visited Dallas they wouldn't be Cowboy fans any more.

I for one have never lived in Texas but my brother lived there while he was in the military for several years so naturally I visited him. Of course I was a Cowboy fan even way back then. Actually I become a Cowboy fan while living in northern Virginia. Just got back from serving overseas and heard some Commander games. Couldn't stand George Allen's whining and that of his team. Got so disgusted that I started rooting for the Cowboys whenever they played the Commanders. Have been a devoted Cowboy fan since then--although I lived overseas a lot in the late 80s. Retired and living in Florida and still love my Cowboys. Can't believe that we now on our 3rd return to greatness behind Romo who eventually will join Staubach & Aikman.

I love it. I was born near Dallas but my family moved to Calif. when I was really young. But I had a sister and cousin who were older than me and they kept the "Texas" in me.

I can tell you from living about 90 miles from San Francisco who the fair weather fans are and they aren't the Cowboys. I always wore my Cowboys hat to town and would invariably run across other Cowboys fans doing the same thing. This was during the lean times too. When the Whiners were winning you would see as much red as you would blue. But they were bad, you'd be lucky to see any thing Whiner related except on the fire sale table at JC Penny.

That's me.:)
Surrounded by Giant fans and loving the Cowboys. For what it's worth, loving the game transcends where you live and frankly, the Giants have always been boring. Nothing much to watch and with the exception of Lawrence Taylor, pretty short on excitement.

I hear the bandwagon comments all the time, laughably enough, even when the Cowboys are losing. Yet, I'd seen plenty of 'Giant fans' show up in Green Bay jerseys during the late 90's.

The Cowboys have 'it', and no matter where I live, I recognize it.
Go Cowboys.

New York is just mad that they had two of the greatest coaches of all time and diddn't have the smarts to keep either as a head coach. So they hate us and Greenbay lol and not to mention we are 5 time superbowl champs...

I'm a New Yorker and a Cowboys fan. The first memory I had of the Cowboys was my uncle's poster of the '77-'78 Super Bowl. I just thought the helmet with the star looked real good and I've been following them since. Right through from Staubach to Danny White to Hogeboom, right on through to the present. Like the Yankees, I followed them through the dark periods. While I wasn't very vocal during those periods, I followed them nonetheless.

Originally from MA and now I spend my time between NY and MA
Yes, I have to put up with Pats fans
They weren't so bad after the first Superbowl but now most of them are intolerable..seriously
The Giants fans I know are much more decent in regards to fandom

But yeah I've been a Cowboys fan my whole life

I was in the military and was also a military brat before that, so I've been all over....Europe, California, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and North Dakota to name a few....

Cowboys fans are ALL OVER THE WORLD.

America's team? Yep that as well as the World's Team!

Seriously, I'll bet we do have more fans in this world than other fans. Tex Schramm was a master at using the media to get the Cowboys publicity.

I'm one of those fans as well. I live in Massachusetts and have been a lifelong Cowboys fan. Being surrounded by Patriots fans, it's great to have a forum like this around.

Northwest Vermont here.

Boy's fan since day one. (late 60's)

Back in the day it was 90% Giants fans around here with a smattering of Jets fans.

Growing up I knew ONE Pat's fan. Suddenly, a few years ago the Pat's fans started coming out of the woodwork. Now most everybody is a Pat's fan.

I love asking them to name three succesful QB's who played for the Pat's. Half of them can't even name two and it is very rare that one of them even knows who Steve Grogan was.

I especially love being able to say "asterick" every time they start flapping their gums. LOL

In CT I'm surrounded by Gints, Jets and NE fans.

I'm throwing a BBQ here on this beautiful fall day and have invited a bunch of my friends who are NE fans. I do have a Buffalo fan coming also who, while being mad about last weeks game, still hates NE more than Dallas :)

I do the same every year with friends that are Gints fans, and this year I guess I'll have to hit up the Jets fans too.

My friends know I've been a Cowboys fan through thick and thin.

Poor Dagwood, he was here last Monday to watch that game with me. For those of you with DirectTV he was also over on Buffalo's opening game, where the almost exact same thing happened to them against Denver (2 seconds left lost on a long FG).

Did I mention we were at the same 2 superbowl parties back in 93 and 94.

Where is this thread at? I'm on their site but I can't find it. I'd love to read it lol.

I grew up in Texas so naturally, I became a Cowboy fan during the 1991 season when I was 8. I moved up here to Northern Virginia and was amazed at the amount of Cowboy fans in the DC, MD, VA area. Cowboy fans all over the place and that annoys Commander fans.:lmao2: They don't care that there are thousands of Steeler fans or Giant fans as well. But they only talk about the amount of Dallas fans. And yeah, they do bring up that you never been to Texas thing up to alot.
