Really poor game and lots of improvement opportunities to say the least
1. Need to start trying out kickers. This was widely discussed last year on here and is criminal that we haven’t done so. Wouldn’t have won today but Maher is not done costing us wins
2. Our run D is the sand one that got run out of the stadium last year in the playoffs against the Rams. We get pushed around and either can’t hold our gaps or our LBs overrun the play.
3. Demarcus Lawrence needs to give his money back. Zero impact from a player that is making that salary can kill a franchise.
4. Amari is this guy. Will drop some passes and make you want him off the team and then loon superhuman the next play with incredibly silky moves and speed. He’s always been this way.
5. Our linebacking core is playing terrible. I would get Thomas on the field instead of Lee. He might have instincts still but he doesn’t have the physical skill to get to the spot and make the play. Liability.
6. We came out flat. This team needs something to get them ready to play each week and Garrett just doesn’t have it. I like the fact Garrett was upset and showed some fire but it cost us 15 yards and was too little too late. There is a reason he was not already resigned.
7. Get Brown off the field and give Lewis a chance. Two penalties today and he was getting beat like a drum. Poor decision maker.
8. Lastly and surely not least. I have not seen a season where the refereeing was making an impact on the game outcomes weekly. Serious calls missed and patty cake calls made repetitively. Didn’t decide the game today but really bad calls. All season and across the league. The last pick by Dak - obvious PI on the DB and nothing. The roughing the passer call??? Um what was that ??
We are a middle of the pack team in a league of parity. Hated the game today because outside of our division I hate the packers the most.
