LOUISVILLE'S URRUTIA TURNS PRO

Louisville wide receiver Mario Urrutia has announced that he will forego his senior season and enter the 2008 NFL draft.

"It's by far the toughest decision I've ever made," Urrutia said, per the Associated Press. "Unfortunately, with missing time this season and playing injured I got to see football from a different perspective. You only have so much time to play this sport, and the 2008 draft is my opportunity."

At 6-foot-6 and 220 pounds, Urrutia will be an intriguing prospect for NFL scouts. His production this season was limited by a leg injury, but he had a solid sophomore year in Bobby Petrino's offense in 2006. This year's senior class of wide receivers is not considered a strong one, which might tip some junior wide receivers who are on the fence toward turning pro.
