Love for Myles Jack

Anyone else think the Cowboys might be keeping their love for Myles Jack super hush hush, kinda like Morris Claiborne a few years ago? Only one of the top 10 guys, besides offensive line they haven't brought in or worked out..

If he checks out good medically, I can see him being the pick. Seems very suspicious to me.

I hope not
There was no secret love for Mo
That was a bad impulsive decision by people who did not do their due diligence

Shame on them if they didn't do their homework on the best player in this class.

Would it surprise me given this teams history? Not one bit.

Yes, I can see that. I think Ramsey and Wentz would have to be off the board, but Dallas likes to draft guys that they deem to be the best at their position in the first round and he would certainly be that and then some.

I like jack a lot. If he was healthy he'd be in discussion for top 3 pick which he is already just based off of his athleticism like jaylon smith.

I think they HAVE done their due homework on Jack with the exception of a visit.

I do not think they did with Mo and was surprised he fell so they moved up to get him.

So I don't think this situation is similar to what happened in the draft when we Took Mo.

I'm sorry but I don't think this is an accurate statement at all. Everybody thought Mo would be the next great shut down corner.

You probably have more inside info about the process than I do

Can you tell me how often a team picks a player in the top 6 that they never met with?

From a common sense perspective it makes no sense and looks like an impulsive ill informed decision

I don't think so at all.

And I'm glad.

I don't know about how often it happens, but we didn't bring in Demarcus Ware, either.

There's no chance we didn't do diligence on Claiborne. We just got it wrong. Or his little injuries hindered his development. But he was the consensus best DB in that draft and generally considered the best defensive prospect overall. And we had a need at CB.

We definitely covered him like we did all CB prospects that year.

Myles Jack is awesome.
Pro Bowler in waiting, imo.

But once you mentioned him with Claiborne, I can't stand the guy:angry:

If Dallas was picking at #8 or #9, really wanted Myles and didn't want any other team to jump them for the pick...sure. They are picking at #4 and very little chance he goes before that especially since there are still doubts about his knee. Maybe they are waiting for an "all clear" on his knee before bringing him in? Maybe they just plain don't view him as highly in the LB role and would only really consider him if he fell drastically in the draft? Maybe the taste of already having a LB (Lee) with multiple knee issues (one prior to the draft) has soured them on repeating that..especially for a #4 pick?

My gut instinct: His lack of a visit to Dallas is not a smokescreen.

I don't wanna go LB in the 1st so I'm okay w passing on him for another player.

If his best position is Will, what do we do with Lee? Think that's the question I have.

I hope not. Sick an tired of drafting the guy coming off of injury or the guy who "all he has to do is keep clean". Give me the guy who was a good player in college with no injuries and a clean image.

Nope not at all

His health is a concern, I don't think they waste the #4 on a guy who has that type of injury concern
