Not sure about the rebuild thing (I'm not so sure anyone truly rebuilds anymore), but completely agree.

They Cowboys knew that were taking a step back from a max effort to win now when they cut Ware. Call it rebuild, retool, taking a step back, whatever.

I would call it building the team.

Wasn't a position of need. If we didn't go Manziel we should have drafted defense.

Martin was BPA. I think they were trying to trade down to get one of the cover Safeties. But the trade didn't happen.

I like it for the simple fact that they took the best player. It's an offseason that continues to impress.

BPA on a team in the middle of a rebuild. This guy can play any position on the oline and is a total stud.

Jerry is finally listening to people around him and not just taking the flashy player.

Keep building those lines. Love it!

For me, it was Donald, Barr, Shazier, or Martin. If none of those were available, trade down. If no trade partners, Ha Ha Clinton Dix.

ME TOO!! Anyone that liked the Frederick pick should LOVE this pick. This kid is better than TFred guys....better feet, solid punch and a very good technician. Smith, TFred and ZMart will be a VERY solid foundation moving forward. JJ is listening to somebody that knows WTH he's talking about.....I'm very encouraged.

yep....you nailed their board IMO...I'm VERY relieved Shazier wasn't there for us. He is boom or bust IMO. Martin is the safest pick in first round per Mayock and I agree.

For me it was Donald, Barr, Pryor, Martin, or trade down. Part of me is really excited we went Oline because that tells me they understand that they have holes everywhere.

Agreed, but I liked his potential and our current linebacker situation does have some question marks. I was clearly hoping for a defensive addition overall, but like someone said above this will indirectly help the defense if they can finally get some long sustaining drives going this year.
