If we beat the Skins our entire schedule will open up....first it will help us build off are impressive win...it will help us establish rhythm and it will give us momentum...we beat the Cardinals regardless if we beat the Skins or not...but going against Indy at 6-3..is a lot better than playing them at 5-4

First off, if we happen to win in Waaaa-shington, it will even us up in our division at 2-2, both wins vs the Deadskins....but also losses vs Iggles and Gents. NFC East Division wins are very important.

I really think the Cowboys match up very, very well with the Colts. The Patriots have Manning's number because they disguise their defenses so well and he gets impatient.

Dallas doesn't have to do that though. They're the only team that matches up with the Colts on the edges. Newman can shut down Harrison and Henry can do the same to Wayne with enough help. That leaves Manning dumping down the the RBs and he'll get impatient. Their finesse running game can be handled.

Offensively, the Colts have given up huge yards to inside power running games all year. Chew up yardage, eat the clock and make Manning even more impatient standing on the sidelines.

I'm more worried about all the division games and even Detroit who always seems to win games that have no business being in against Dallas than Indianapolis.

That is completely rediculous.

Some people on this thread are living in Dallas Cowboy fantasay land. One good game, especially after the MN NY game, does not mean too much, now if we win out on the road trip in strong fashion, then lets talk about playing with Indie and after that game lets start thinking about the reamaing games on the schedual but this calling the schedual's W and L after only one good victory all year (sorry Washington, Houston and Tenn. don't really count) is absurd. A lot of these people are the same ones that after the Txan game saw us winning against New York and being undefeated the rest of the season....how did that work out...settle down people.

You should have gone with udderly rediculous....

Does me saying that Dallas could struggle with teams like Washington or Detroit imply I think they'll go undefeated the rest of the way?

I said...Dallas matches up extremely well with the Colts and has the type of defense that can shut them down offensively. When teams roll towards Harrison, Wayne abuses single coverage and vise versa. Dallas has a corner that isn't abused very often so coverage can be rolled to the other side.

I think that predicting an enormous amount of wins off a virtual rookie QB performance in his first start is just Fantasy.

This team is not solid. Our defense has trouble getting good teams off the field.

Our defense has a tendency to start slow and let other teams get off to a 10-14 point headstart.

And our offense is going to be ultra-conservative when it comes to playing behind Romo becuase we really don't know whether the 3 int. Romo of the Jints game or the Romo we saw play against Carolina is the real deal.

Defense and special teams play and Vandy are going to figure hugely in the days ahead.

I like Romo, but he's not the lightning rod everybody thinks he is. He's going to play his heart out, but the rest of the team is going to have to give the same emotional, 4 Qt. effort they showed against Carolina to go anywhere close to 11-5.

Remember last year, we were what, 7-3 and giddy..?

Reality, folks. Reality.

We may match up relatively well against them, but saying we can shut down their offense is a pretty big overstatement. Do we have a chance? Sure, but I'm worried about those tight ends in the middle of the field.

What people aren't taking into account is that Romo will almost definitely have at least one pretty bad game. It happens to every QB, especially rookies. One or more of those games marked down as wins will be a loss. Any given Sunday.

Shut down, not shut out. I'd consider holding them to less than 20 pts shutting them down.

I do agree with you that Romo is going to have a blow up game if not multiple games. Watch the idiots who still think Bledsoe is a quality NFL starting QB come out in full force after that.

One step at a time. Enjoy the ride.

Unbridled enthusiasm is a fun thing to watch isn't it? Nothing wrong with it as long as they aren't looking for something sharp to cut their wrists after the next loss.

I want to see our we play in DC this week before I get too excited. If we play well and beat them, then we COULD get on a roll.

Not really. That just means we can continue to beat *****ty teams. IF we beat the next 2 we should be able to handle, then maybe a road win against a strong team, I'll start to get excited.

No the only thing I was saying directly to you is that it is completely ridiculous that you are more woried about Detroit than Indie.

Today's NFL is a week by week proposition, and every week can or just might be a dogfight, regardless of the opponent-nothing guaranteed. I think Ive bought into BP's annual statement, "We'll know about the season and playoff potential by Thanksgiving weekend."

There's nothing wrong with your enthusiasm and I sure hope you're right. I wish I could go through life like that actually.

Actually, I hope you're a trader on wall street, or maybe just a poker player. If not you're wasting your talent. To know something for sure that literally no one else in the world could have possibly known is truly a gift.

The way we have been playing on Turkey Day lately has me worried about any game on that day. Seems like I get heartburn every Thanksgiving around 7:30pm.

skins, should win, even in their house

arizona - easy win

detroit - easy win

bucs - win

philthy - they are done...win

gints - payback is coming

colts - tough game

saints - tough game, can win it for sure

at 4-3 if we play half decent we should easily finish at 11-5,,especially with alot of our games at home after the next two...

You misse the Falcons game.

The Falcons, Colts, Giants on the road and Philly all scare me. Washington on the road may not be a pushover, and the Saints hve played well this year.

Let's don't delude ourselves into believing we have an easy path to the playoffs.

Man, you guys are worse than stock market analysts.

I bet you guys were predicting an undefeated record after Hogeboom's big first win.

Heck, gotta love those 40-0 blow out predictions for the Pickle Bowl ... too bad it turned out the other way around.

One game at a time boys. We have 9 games left. The likelihood of winning 7 out of 9 is pretty low considering our recent history.

Is this the same group ready to toss in the season after the Giants loss???

One step at a time. Enjoy the ride. No stock market predictions please.

The inverted yield curve still concerns me a bit. Much more bullish on the Boys than the market.

Playing the W-L game with the schedule is an exercise in futility.

Lets say 5 million Cowboy fans pulled out the schedule this September and played the W-L game.

Do you think even one fan had an L for the Giants at home followed by a W for Carolina on the road. Bet there were a lot of WW, maybe even a few LL.

With all that said, I do like how for the most part, our schedule gets progessively harder as we move along from here.

Couple of winnable, if not easy, road games to build momentum.
Tough home game but not critical since its out of conference.
Easier home game followed by 11 days rest.

Lets say we go 3-1. Thats 7-4.

Then we have the tell tale 3 game stretch.
W at NYG if you want the division
W at New Orleans if you want a bye
W at Atlanta to lock up the division and the bye week.

Over these 3 weeks we can go from a wildcard team to a number 2 seed.

I just want to see us win 2 in a row against good teams this season before making any predictions about us going to the playoffs.
