All offseason espn has positioned themselves as advocating star power and storylines as being the progressive powerhouses of the nfl. Little they recognize that the eagles have no offensive line and no run defense. New england can't play d and they were exposed as well. Its only going to get more interesting and I can't wait for 25 hours from now

I've heard ESPN analysts caution agains getting too high on either of those teams for the reasons you mention. Not sure what you mean by "ESPN"? Who exactly are you talking about? Colin Cowheard is one that I've heard specifically mention these two teams having the weaknesses you stated. And he isn't alone, but I can't remember who the others were.

I think he's talking more ESPN TV personalities...

ESPN Radio is MUCH more reasonable...

I can just hear the ESPN machine getting ready to skewer Brady for throwing 4 picks, including one that put the Bills in front in the 4th quarter.... can't you?

omg***bbq he has 4 Super Bowls...

For all the $ that the Eagles sunk in that so-called Dream Team secondary, they sure got their butts torched today by Sheli and the Gints, with beat up receivers of all things. And at home. Go figure. :)

Heard a good example of this as I was flipping through games today on the Ticket.

Solomon Wilcotts was discussing the Ravens Oline and said that Andre Gurode has "NEVER played guard before" and was out there doing a great job at a position "he's never played". Thought that was a bit funny and showed his ineptitude.

None since they were caught cheating though, makes you wonder how valid those SBs really are imo.

I don't wonder at all. They are completely invalid IMHO.

That kinda sounds like he had meltdown and made bonehead decisions that cost his team the game like he always does because once you choke you are always a choker...

Did I leave anything out that we WILL NOT hear from Bristol this week?

The thing with BSPN is that they basically have a bunch of fanboys who spout off platitudes instead of actually showing themselves doing research an analysis.

And...I can understand that to a degree.

I'm not sure that the general public wants more than that.

BUT...

I do think the general public wants more exacting analysis that they think. And they provide little in the way of that.

There's KC Joyner and EA Sports Matchup...and that's about it.

But even Hoge and Jaws are not above being fanboys and having vendettas against players or teams. And the show is only 30 mins long anyway. Joyner is dug so far deep into the ESPN Insider that he gets almost no exposure anyway.

skip bayless is one. every time someone tries to point out how great the eagles are, he shoots them down & mentions the team's weak spots.

Bayless is SO irrelevant...

His entire career exists on being controversial...

He has VERY little sports knowledge... it's all TMZ bullcrap...

Can't wait to see what they say about Asomugha.. he had a horrible game. Juked out of his shoes and into another guy by Victor Cruz... held Cruz on his 2nd TD and still couldn't break up the pass.

Remember Rob Ryan saying they were overrated... ? hmmm maybe Rob saw it coming...
