Well, when Jenkins was successful, it was against Bernadeau.

The best center Dallas ever had (in my mind) was Tom Rafferty. He would be backed up by Dave Manders, Andre Gurode, Mark Stepnoski, then John Fitzgerald.

Travis Frederick will not jump to the top of that list in his rookie season, but he can definitely blend in there next season. Let wait and see how the 16-game season will wear on the young center.

I have been screaming for a center ever since Gurode left.

I LOVE what I see in Frederick though.

I still think they should have taken the No. 5 player at 18. And I still think they got too little for the trade on. But he looks like a player.

It's only one game into the season but I have to say I have been impressed with him in preseason and so far in the regular season.

I think what is more impressive is that he is doing this as a rookie.

Just remember that he is rookie later as I am sure he will have some bad plays or a bad game.

TFred just seems to handle his business in a professional manner. Really like the kid and will enjoy watching him grow as a player. He is what a first pick should be.

The only times I saw pressure up the middle were when Bernadeau got tossed backward and when Tony held the ball a loooooong time. I'm really excited to see what we look like with Waters in there.

I'm also kinda glad we didn't have DeCastro in there to wreck Frederick's knee.

could have had a good one in warford instead of taking escobar... in my mind warford instead of escobar would have made this past draft a home run, right now it looks like a double.

How did that #5 player do yesterday? Williams the starter was out and I can't find any stats on Floyd (not even a tackle) or any write ups on their team page or the tribune.

Both Frederick and Smith played very well tonight. Smith was stonewalling JPP all night. There's a huge difference with Frederick in the line-up. We just need a couple more solid young guys on that line and we'll have a solid o-line.

Well we have some solid young guys on the line already, hopefully we can get them to continue to step up and make a difference out there.

One thing, them doing the close ups on Smith wasn't by accident. Madden used to do it when he liked a guy, and I see them doing this for Smith to get him some attention for a Pro-Bowl appearance. They set Smith up for it last night, just watch and see.

Waters will make this Oline one of the best in the league this year. Yes I mean it. Leary and TFred are only gonna get better and they were strong in their first NFL start. Tyron was really good dare I say near elite. Bern was the weak link and he will be outie next week. Free was so-so but Waters next to him will really help.
