An adorable 9-month-old Yorkie, hilariously named Rambo, showed stamina worthy of his namesake by waiting for two days at a Missouri rest stop after his owner accidentally left him there. The puppy jumped down from owner Michael Siau's truck, and Siau made it 170 miles before realizing his dog wasn't asleep in back....

It's ridiculous it took 2 days to realize the dog was missing. They do eat, drink, pee and poo.

It didn't...

Siau (owner) made it 170 miles before realizing his dog wasn't asleep in back. Afraid he'd lose his trucking job by back-tracking, Siau instead alerted authorities near the rest stop and an animal control officer found the Yorkie sitting just where he'd been left, waiting for his owner to return.

Siau made it all the way to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 170 miles to the north, before he realized Rambo was gone. But he knew if he turned around, his schedule would be thrown off and his job jeopardized.

Siau said he was "freaking out" as he tried to determine where Rambo was lost. He finally concluded the puppy must have gotten out in Missouri.

how long does it take to travel 170 miles in a truck, 3hrs??? it still seems a little sketchy.

I would have never continued on...I would have turned around and been late to my job if need be.

If 3 hours were the time, and I wouldn't be surprised if it were longer than that, it would be 3 hours each direction.

Probably enough to throw his schedule off by a day.

He may have been carrying cargo that was time sensitive like produce.

yea, it's easy for me to sit here and judge but i couldn't see myself doing that. i bet 99 times out 100 the dog leaves. he got very lucky. i'm not so sure i could just let a dog go like that. i don't want to compare dogs to humans but they are basically a child that needs to be cared for once you decide to own one, no?

I'm surprised someone didn't take it home thinking it was a stray.

i'm going to inflate the amount of time he had to travel. but, if it were 10 hours to go back i find it hard to believe any product is that time sensitive. there's a reason why cushions are built into delivery times.

True...but knowing myself...I could have never left my dog behind...I just couldn't.

exactly, and you'd risk that?

once again, it's very easy for me to be judgmental and sit here and say that not having stepped into this guys shoes.

That's the way I feel.
