LSU Pro Day doesn't look too good

Guys:

Saw some numbers off a site called "Draft Daddy" and the LSU times did not look good. WR Dochet (SP?) ran a 4.55 and his shuttle times did not look good. Also, Dorsey ran like a 5.15 and had only a 25 verticle.

Don't know how accurate these times are, but if accurate they could push these guys down a lot.

It won't push them down a lot and I don't think teams are concerned with Dorsey's verticle. I'd say that 40 is about right for a guy his side. He probably won't be playing DE anytime soon.

Doucet was considered a 2nd rounder at best by most people, I think, that 4.55 may or may not drop him out of the 2nd, but I never bought him as a 1st round prospect as some claimed.

I think the only thing hurting Dorsey right now are concerns over his knee.

Yeah his knees are a serious concern from what I've heard/read. That time certainly won't help Doucett, even if he was only a 2nd round prospect at best.

Never have understood the interest in E Doucet. Each game I've seen him in he was either hampered by an injury or looking like the second coming of Skyler Green or just not showing any heart on the field. A JAG.

This showing should drop him in where he belongs, which is about RD 4.

I still think Doucet will be a pretty good Pro.

IF he can stay healthy, I do too.

I honestly think he's in the top three receivers in this class, perhaps even the best when he's healthy....unfortunately, that hasn't been very often as of late.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to his timed 40 though. It's likely he's still hampered by injuries. He plays faster than that, IMO.

I'd still take him with our second round pick...in a heartbeat.

He might be one of those guys who is hurt a lot in college and then goes 10 years without getting hurt in the NFL. You can never tell. I do think he's a good player when healthy though.

I'd still rather have Dexter Jackson in the 3rd... but he's my "pet cat".

True.

I like Dexter Jackson too...but I'd be happy to see Doucet, Thomas, Hardy, Sweed, or the other Jackson as well....whichever one falls to us into the second round. I'd love DJ in the third.

If Doucet were there in round two, I'd be very interested. I think he'll be a solid pro as a #2.

Doucet really is JAG, but he's very ready-made to step in right away as a rookie and catch some passes for you, but he's not very explosive, is more a possession/slot receiver
