LT Overton 1 Recruit in America disappears

We shall see what he adds to the defense . Maybe under an NFL regimen & weight room he can get into the mid 280’s .
He was already in the 280 by the time of his pro day. That's a pretty good indicator they were keeping his weight down for their system!

I might be mistaken for thinking the same about what bothered Odighizuwa in the past. I have been picturing LT Overton as similar to what Odighizuwa was in the past before being traded. The size and weight of Overton is seemingly reminiscent in so many ways, including his quickness, too. I hope he won't suffer the issue of being too vulnerable vs. the run. Anything to share on that? I'm just curious.

Any ideas to offer on that?
He's a run stopper that they hope can develop into a pass rusher.

I do believe there will be others to do the pass rushing well if he can't. It should all work out.
His pass rushing might stand a decent chance of developing into a fairly reliable skill in time. :flagwave:

Right, but if they are playing a 3-4, how does this make sense?

Polar opposite players. Overton is a beast vs the run, not much vs the pass(Could change).

Osa was decent at bringing pressure, weak vs the run.

Even in their 3-4 they have a 3t. The position is DT like but looks like an end because it's a 3-4. Quinnen is the main guy for that position, Aaron Donald played that position with the Rams, Jalen Carter plays it for the eagles. But because of 3 WR + sets the Cowboys will likely be in nickel 70% of the time anyway.

But starting out Overton is going to be playing the 5t or 4i on the other side in that base defense. Bullard or Ogbonnia may be the starter there though.

It doesn't; that's the reason why I asked a question. I was glad to see he's good vs. the run.

Hopefully, he'll make adjustments to limit opponents' passing game, also. It's a decent pick.
