Just curious what you guys think. RGIII is clearly having a more impressive statistical season. RGIII has 8 TD, 3 INT and a 97.3 passer rating, plus 476 rushing yards for 6 TDs, versus Luck's 8 TD, 8 INT and 74.6 passer rating. I know it's no contest BUT let's say, completely hypothetically, the Commanders finish 4-12 and the Colts finish 10-6 and make the playoffs. Do you think that will affect who wins ROY?

What if they do a Bledsoe/Mirer deal and have them as Co MVPs.

It's hard to split it because you're voting for two totally different things. You're voting for wins versus stats. It isn't like you're voting for two guys with equally impressive stats or who equally turned their teams around.

Maybe they choose not to vote for either and instead go for Russell Wilson in Seattle.

If it's voted on by the fans, it's a landslide victory by RG3 because how popular he is.

Might be Doug Martin or Trent Richardson too

What about Alfred Morris, the best rookie RB by a landslide and #2 in the entire league in rushing. Haha if you're gonna mention a RB at least mention the right one.

Sure it's a contest.

Luck has taken the worst team in the league has them at 4-3 right now.

Too early to tell since there are other players that look impressive.

But between the two, RG3 has been playing better so far.

How I would currently rank the OROY players:

1. RG3 - Very impressive so far. I Think the Skins would be horrible without him.

2. Andrew Luck - The win against Green Bay was a clutch performance. His arm strength is ridiculous. I have been impressed with his ability to run and manage the offense.

3. Russell Wilson - Several clutch performances. If he had better play from his skill position players he would be higher on this list. Drops by Turbin against SF and Braylon Edwards against the Cards were game changers.

4. Trent Richardson - This guy could be a beast for years. Monster work ethic and tough as hell. If not for the knee surgery before the season and the rib injury a few weeks ago he could be higher. He rocked against the Chargers on Sunday and could make a late season push to win OROY.

5. Doug Martin - Really impressive as a pass catcher and runner. I think he shows nice quickness and burst. Had a monster game last Thursday.

6. Alfred Morris - 151 Carries for 717 Yards (4.7 YPC) and 5 TDs is impressive. I haven't watched him enough to comment more but his stats alone put him on this list.

Honorable Mentions: Brandon Weeden, Ryan Tannehill, Kendall Wright, Josh Gordon

Probably forgot him, I know I did. But yeah, he's performing lights out and is better than Rich/Martin right now.

Griffin.

Luk is good, but the Commanders have had a much tougher schedule. The Colts have beaten some good teams, but they also lost to the Jags, so...

The Colts win agaisnt Green Bay was more impressive than any win that the Skins have had, but the Colts were amped for that game, what with their head coach being out...No way the packers were going to match the intensity level the Colts brought.

Just going by the "eye" test, Griffin has been playing at a higher level through the first half of the season and been much more consistent and explosive.

Griffin has really had only 1 bad game and that was agaisnt the Falcons. The Steelers was bad as well, but your receivers cant drop 10 passes including two for touchdowns.

They have both been clutch but I would give a slight edge to Luck being that his team is 4-3. Although, Luck doesnt have nearly as bad a defense as Griffin does (Colts 24 ppg @ 350 yards allowed. Skins 28 ppg @ 406 yards allowed).

Griffin, obviously. If he's at 100 qbr with 1,000 yards rushing, that's an easy choice.

Are we sure that Luck is ahead of Tannehill?

Yes, Lord yes. Ryan Tannehill couldn't see Andrew Luck with a telescope.

For rookie of the year its either Alfred Morris or RGIII......

RGIII could end up with 2500 yards passing and 900 yards running
and morris is well on his way to 1300 yards

its either morris or robert griffin no one else is even close
