I'm glad Linehan found a way to incorporate Whitehead in the game. That play where he runs the ball after running full speed in motion is going to be deadly when Dez and Romo get back, especially if it's a fake handoff. Hopefully we'll use him more in short yardage situations.

Agreed. There is so much to gain there:
-You get a playmaking threat onto the field
-You get speed onto the field
-You stretch the field laterally

I wish he also stretched the field vertically. I haven't seen enough proof of that yet.

Not sure how it was played today. I was just commenting on someone's post about using it when Dez comes back. They should use it like a read option depending on how the safety that's on Dez reacts.

We're finally seeing a drip of creativity, and we finally see that it can get results when players actually have a gameplan made for them instead of just expecting everyone to outplay their man.

I've posted long and hard against Cole as a returner. It's so blatantly foolish. There is just no upside...and terrible risk.

Unfortunately we don't have a good alternative to Cole. I trust Lucky as a KR because if he bobbles a return there's time to recover, on the flip side as a PR he's all alone and I don't trust his hands or judgement. We're screwed!

He's a cheap rookie. Why would we look to replace him if he keeps playing well?

I'd like to see Lucky run wheel routes, screens and aome sweeps. I think teams will have to account for his speed which might free up the running game for us.

Let's see what Whitehead can do. I think he's got more ability than just a reverse guy.
