Won't be the last time...I bet someone else gets in trouble this week. They can't help it! How many incidents/arrests will we average over the next 6 months? I predict 2 per month

Yes easy to look the other way, let him go with no "initial" harm to the team HOWEVER the implications gives NFL just more ammo to freely suspend our other player(s) down the road with an easier conscience or excuse to do so.
What is JJ going to argue? "Hey, we rarely have this problem"? Nope, "Our program is one of the cleanest in the NFL!!" Nope. Our system eliminating player's suspension works just fine" Nope.
Lastly what if Switzer goes down in TC?
Face it. Our Boys have some good character guys but they also have a lot of brainless players too. "Hit me with a hammer" Jimmy Johnson

As tired as I am of all the nonsense with the players...I have equal fatigue with all the excuses and lame defense arguments.

And I have more fatigue for people that jump the gun on everything and don't let the facts come out and then make an educated and informed conclusion. And even worse when those people claim that waiting for the facts to come out is just 'excuses and lame defense arguments.'

A NFL player could shoplift as we saw Joseph Randle shoplift. However, it's very unlikely that a legitimate NFL player will shoplift. Rich people generally don't shoplift as they have the money to buy what they want.

In fact, I think it's more likely to be a case of mistaken identity with a rich person accused of shoplifting than it is a rich person actually shoplifting.

And that's why Lucky may not have known what was going on and why that could have been taken out of context.

Furthermore, the media constantly gets stories wrong that supposedly come from the Cowboys. There's no repercussions for the media to get things wrong, so there is no care in getting accurate statements. And it would be unusual, even for the Cowboys, to know about a shoplifting arrest well in advance of a marginal player and still keep him on the team. In fact, a precedent was set with Joseph Randle.

So yeah, call me crazy and wanting to see the facts before I just believe anything I hear from the media and on the internet and then I'll make my judgment.

Probably a fine-only offense, even if he is guilty of shoplifting and stupidity. (of course he could just pay the fine (probably around $500, but an NFL suspension would cost him a LOT of money.)

Just to edit my own post, I think 'shoplifting' and 'stupidity' are redundant terms in a guy making that much money. Not that I'm calling him either of those. I'll withhold judgment and let the legal system run its course. (Too bad Goodell doesn't take that same approach.)

The failure to appear in court charge is possibly worse than the shop lifting.

Relax people, he hasn't even been convicted yet and everyone is already yelling to cut him. If this was Zeke, the excuses would range from "he was set up" to "he hasn't been proven guilty yet". Talking about the pot calling the kettle black, I see a lot of the same people calling the Zeke nonsense a "witch hunt" but are now wanting Lucky to be cut without knowing all the facts. SMH.
Just taking the reports at face value he's not that critical to the team so you will see few go to bat for him, There's serious doubts that he makes this team anyway, especially with the rookie Switzer in the mix.

Cue the "BSPN" and "evil media" posts.
BSPN, evil media!!! <shakes fist>

Seriously, tho, Alex, as long as they report it as what it is: a tweener getting in trouble for some dumb ****, and likely won't effect the team -- than all is well.

It's when they over-dramaticize to get more ratings that is somewhat grating. Like calling him a "star WR", like... wut??

How about this fact: he failed to show up at an appointed court date. Or are we still waiting for confirmation of that fact?

Do courts issue arrest warrants because they weren't sure if Whitehead showed up or not?
