Lucky Whitehead replacement

I always appreciate legit upgrade ideas and prospects at ALL positions..
Just think if we had drafted a real QB in 2010 where we'd be right now...
Anywho I really wish Lucky had gotten at least 1/3 of Beasley's wasted reps and touches...

A real QB in 2010........Bradford went first then you had Clausen and Colt McCoy in 2nd and 3rd round. You want to give up Dez or Lee?

Lucky is the best returner we've had in a very long time, and people want to replace him. I do not get it.

Upgrade where you can. And depending on one guy in a league rife with injuries is not good. And I'm proposing a 6th round sleeper, we can surely afford one of our multiple picks in our last round to shore up 3 positions.

Does everything always have to be so fricken literal around here? 2010 is a ballpark timeframe, it could be 11, 12, 13....

If you going to say a draft year that we should have taken a QB at least get it to a year where the draft had productive QBs

I'm not a draft guru and it's not an exact science. You can't say for certain Player X would not have had a different career had said player been drafted by us back then.. Your hindsight/foresight is incomplete, therefore, irrelevant....

And that's funny how? The only one on his level in 2015 was Lockett.

...Lucky actually had a higher yards per KR, but okay...

Anyway, Harris did have more return yards, but he also returned way more kicks/punts.

I simply do not understand the Lucky Whitehead circle jerk around here. What exactly has he done that makes anyone want to replace him? He had a successful rookie year.

He doesnt have a future at wr. Ayers does. It's pretty simple.

Haha ok sure man, had we drafted Colt McCoy he would be an all pro. ..........how silly of me to think such a thing because you know we develop QBs so well. When they come to Dallas they succeed much better with us then on another team

Don't you have to play a certain number of plays before you can qualify for a replacement?

People hate Lucky ... but everyone swears we need a "speed" WR across from Dez, lol.

Lucky is a nice looking slot guy/returner combo. If he is your 5th WR you are doing OK.
He is a good Harris replacement for the modest salary with better speed. He badly needed the weightroom but he has a full off-season to get stronger.

What Dallas needs is a 2nd complete WR. If we added Braxton Miller he wouldn't be returning kicks very long.
He'd be asked to replace TWill by 2017 if not sooner.

Lucky is improving a lot. I want to see if he can do better this next season.

Agreed. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for improving ANY spot on this roster if it's an actual improvement but Lucky showed enough in his rookie campaign to merit seeing what he can do to improve in his second season. If someone can beat him out, then better for everyone, but Whitehead's position isn't at the top of the list of things I'd like to see improved on this team.

That cat that got damaged in St Louis might have had a better career in Dallas backing up Romo.
