Luepke to play big role in offense - again?

...Vaughn is probably gone. But I still wouldn't know how to use this guy, per se.

You acquired 3 backs off-season. All three could play huge part of productive offense.

Perhaps on goal line stances and 4th downs? Tush push with Leupke ..lol

Frankly, I'd like to see us do more 21 personnel than 12. I like the idea of having a fullback out there more than a second tight end. Usually the fullback is the better blocker coming out of the backfield because he's built lower to the ground and can get leverage on linebackers, can flex out to an inline position and is somewhat of a threat to run the ball at times. If he can catch the ball as well as a tight end, then the fullback has more value than the second TE IMO.

Considering we spent a second on Schoonmaker, I doubt that Luepke will play more than he will, but I'd love to see No-Schott do that.

You use him like a move tight end who can occasionally run the ball. ... I do like the idea of having someone like him in there carrying the ball on a tush push (if he can take a snap), or using Milton on those plays. One reason Philly is successful is because of Hurts' lower-body strength.
 
Sure he will. Lupke allows Dallas to go short at RB and/or TE with his versatility. Fans may not understand it but he's a dirty work player. Lupke's snap count increased on offense from 153 as a rookie to 328 last season. His snap count on special teams went down from 61% to 37% because Dallas valued him more as an offensive piece. 11 of Lupke's 33 carries were converted 1st downs and of his 15 receptions 11 were also converted first downs. He's also been active for 33 of 34 games. Lupke is never going to be a star, but he's a versatile, available, chain mover that's had a reliable career thus far.

Leupke has absolutely gotten a chance, and is used often for the type of player he is. Hes not getting the ball in his hands a ton because he simply because that isnt what he does best, but last year he had 250+ snaps from the backfield, 40 snaps at TE, and 32 snaps from the slot. Thats roughly 20 snaps per game he got last year, not including special teams.

He’s had chances and had a key fumble. They’re certainly not going to start him. Tolbert and Schoon were given starts due to injuries. Tolbert didn’t produce enough which is why we traded for Mingo. Schoon had some production but nothing great.

He fumbled the ball one time and now he's a ball fumbler dude get outta here with that nonsense total nonsense.. Got the dog house over one fumble you know Rico fumbled as well ain't a big game in a big moment same thing except for Prescott saw the ball and jumped on it but I don't remember us talking about that play over and over only because Prescott saved the day literally got the ball back and then threw a touchdown after but all guys fumble at some point I remember when Ezekiel Elliott in 2020 was considered a fumbler and then all of a sudden he's only fumbled like twice since I mean come on people you calling the dude a fumblers insane...

Exactly what is a big role for a FB in today’s NFL? Personally I thought he received more snaps than what he should have last season and was hoping they would replace his role with Ford, Schoon or another TE and use the xtra spot on a more valuable position like WR or CB!
