Of course, every roster churns but Dallas, as of late, seems to focus more on trying to re-sign their own players while ignoring free agents until later when they take a fill-the-holes approach.
I don't know, perhaps it's just holding on to the 'hope' Dallas actually makes a legitimate run at things only to see them do what they continue to do.
Nothing wrong with what they are doing. They signed Wilson who is a good player. They will sign a linebacker. They may sign Fowler. They will get receivers from somewhere. They have 9 draft picks to work with. Also, the Eagles have lost 4 key players so far.

Good, I thought he needed to be gone 2 years ago.

I wish him well and good luck.

It may bring a 7th round comp pick. :muttley:
What a waste of a roster spot for the last few years.................

Not going to lie. Most players don’t do crap when they leave here.

Cooper was solid. Williams was good.

But Collins, Awuzie, Byron Jones, Cedrick Wilson to name a few weren’t what teams paid for.
Awuzie was playing great for the Bengals until he got hurt.

Interesting to see players (Gifford, possibly Rush, LVE, Godwin, Wilson, Schultz, Brown, etc.) while not starters per se, from the last few years, starting to exit Dallas. This may not seem significant given their roles, it is rather telling.
they all know they wont play much unless starters are hurt.
also they all see Stephens low ball offers, to everyone not a star.
They all may be jumping ship as soon as they can.

If your not part of the "in crowd" you get low balled.

$2.5 per really isn’t much. Especially since we are losing CJ Goodwin as well
Dallas offer was around 1 mil a year maybe 1.5 thats my guess.
They have to save all the $ to pay their stars and the in crowd.

He was good on Special Teams, but replaceable.

massive overreaction of a lifetime B/U -STs player  . right, titans headed to the SB not. Missing piece LOL
Gifford never made his mark and had plenty of time to do so. Time to move on.
Czers - Gifford is trash
Titans - Gifford could be a mini-treasure

I was just paraphrasing the old proverb "One man's trash is another man's treasure" to note all of the CZers' comments about Gifford = that they are glad he's done as a Cowboy - but the Titans see enough of a player in him to sign him on.
The same-type sentiments came up earlier today with Noah Brown joining the Texans....99% of the repsonses were in favor of him moving on.

noahs bigger loss ,common its not the same Browns actually played meaningful snaps and produced decently but he wont be hard to replace, you see this for 2 + years this place asks why os Brown still on the team hes a Jag, now worry hes gone.. SMFH!!! .. Gifford is a total STs player with no real quality snaps as a starter.

why does nt our FO get that treasure narrative that not what said when they bring over teams' b/Us and ST players to make them a starter, we get the sarcastic SB or cheap cap boy comment see the hypocrisy here Jones does it its terrible cheap way to build a team, titans do it the word treasure is used LMAO> :lmao:

I was just posting on how Cowboy Zone members reacted to\ responded about about Brown and Noah signing with other teams today --- nothing to do with the front office not retaining them.

When the news came out about both players signing on with other teams --practically every comment put forth here at CZ was they were glad both players are now ex-Cowboys.
The members were glad two other teams gave them contracts.

The team got their monies worth out of him. He is the kind of player you are always looking to move on from. Bottom of the roster churn.
Didn’t they draft pretty much his replacement in the 7th last year? Of course he was stashed on IR for the year.

I get it but i say any overreaction from withers sides view is moot.,.they weren't important players, wish them the best, and we will easily replace them. i think even on the roster now semi or other wr can be the ST/5th WR type here, hes got the size and speed to do it. al those payers Being mentioned took sometimes to develop into when they maxxed out as and semi i think is up next for that role.or anther wr but he seems most like that type.

even Dalton i think Fergueson is well on his way to beng dalton or better so it wont be as big loss as fans think...
