We'd pretty much removed the threat of the run at that point, so we were playing coverage.

I thought that myself . Took away alot of the middle of the field . Against the likes of seeing Deebo lined up in the backfield that will not be able to be afforded . 55 will have to be where 19 begins to cross the line rock in hand .

Very astute observation. I’d risk a guess that LVE has never played safety depth like he did last night. That’s not typical “playing coverage.”

The Bucs had no running game and pretty much gave up on it midseason. They're one dimensional. It'll be a much different scheme at San Fran.

Yes, he has the speed to play the position some of us kinda wanted to see Parsons playing. But then LVE even got some pressure.
I guess I don't care so much about which player is running a scheme as much as I do just having suitable players for the scheme.

San Fran will be tough. But our defense isn't going to get rolled over.

We drafted LVE because of his coverage ability. I think that’s dropped off some due to his injuries but he’s still above average in coverage when asked. During his rookie season he was a monster when other teams tried to pass.

Yes. We drafted him specifically to neutralize Zach Ertz. Perhaps he can still handle Kittle going down the seem and out in the flats.

Yeah I turned up the speakers for that. It was still tough to hear but it basically went like this

LVE was cheesing big time after that. Like a kid meeting his idol for the first time.

I've had to give up on hating Brady years ago.
