I saw the video that was posted of Parsons just flying past LVE to make a play. Where LVE looked lost...

Well, I was watching highlights again of the game.

Dude is just shoved around, looking like he is afraid to get hurt.
There is just no way he is around next season, if he keeps playing like this.

That video isn't a good example but it does look at time, LVE is protecting himself due to his contract situation. There are time where he makes a good play then others where he looks tentative. Or even doggin' it. Sort of how X Woods played last year. He probably feels he's not going to get the contract he wants here so doesn't want to risk getting injured if he doesn't have to.

With all due respect - taking on a block is a part of making the play, he may have not made the tackle but they didn’t get past him. His teammates were able to tackle the RB because he took on that block on that particular play. If he’s completely out of position - Micah gets blocked by that Olineman and Dalvin is probably zooomin

Well at least he didn't skirt around back peddling like Jaylon Smith. Frankly, at least he held his ground and occupied a blocker. That allow others to make the tackle.

All five foot ten, two hundred pounds of Davin Cook bulldozed him twice in that game. Picking up an extra three yards both times. LVE is too big to be that weak, IMO. I knew years ago he hated taking on offensive linemen, but I didn't know he could be pushed around so easily.
His rookie year when he hit the guy the guy stopped. Not sure if the neck injury is that much responsible for the drop off or what but the guy is not the same player. Don't forget he's in a contract season too and looks this bad.

4th on the team in combined tackles, tied for 3rd in tackles for losses with Osa and Gregory.

But we don't get to see those videos.
To be fair, Jaylon Smith, the guy that's career is basically over now, was leading the team in tackles to before he was released and now not even dressing for games in Green Bay.

Tackles is not a reliable stat to judge how good a player is or is not. Because not all tackles are created equal.

I think his injuries have made him a cautious player that shies away from contact. In watching him this year— I don’t see a player with instincts that reads a play and fires into a gap or pursues a player with violence

Can’t remember the last time I have seen him flash in a game or make a meaningful play. He is playing one of the most physical positions on D— and there simply isn’t much violence or pop to his game

I can’t see him being back next year. After his rookie season— I thought we had a player. It sucks but if Quinn and some of the dawgs on this team can’t get him to step his game up— then it’s for the best.

Hey a 250 LB got knocked backward by a 320lb Guard....means absolutely nothing

100% correct

LBer is all about diagnosing a play and arriving at your assignment with suddenness, violence, speed, and strength.

When is the last time LVE has blown a play up? Parsons does it multiple times a game
