The Cowboys have not provided the specifics, the medical diagnosis of the neck injury. Did he sustain structural damage, one or more herniated discs? Is there any piece of a herniated disc applying pressure on one or more nerves? Is there any piece of a herniated disc approaching the spinal cord? Did he sustain a cervical vertebral fracture?

LVE? who knows what his future will be. Feel sad for him really.
I still can't believe the FO didn't go get somebody at the deadline, for depth at least to finish the year with.

LVE REMINDS ME OF ANOTHER PROMISING LB DRAFTED IN FIRST ROUND:

LB Bill Cannon, Jr was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the first round (25th overall) of the 1984 NFL draft, becoming the first player from Texas A&M University drafted by the Cowboys. 6'4" 234 lbs, former safety

Eight games into his rookie season, he was a reserve right outside linebacker alternating with Anthony Dickerson, when an existing congenital spinal condition was complicated after he tackled New Orleans Saints running back Wayne Wilson. He was knocked unconscious, suffered damage to two vertebrae near his neck and experienced a brief paralysis of his arms and legs. He appeared in just eight games before this injury forced him to retire in order to avoid risking paralysis.

Cannon filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit claiming negligence by the Cowboys, after he informed them of experiencing numbness in his upper body when making tackles prior to his big injury. The team denied ever receiving such claims but settled in 1992.

2018 to me. Looked like Jaylon had turned the corner. Gregory had a 6 sack season, and that was the last season that DLaw broke double digit sacks.

What a mirage that year was.
Totally agree.
Nice post.

Let’s hope he’s done. Time to get some decent linebackers.
I agree. I think LBs should be the toughest and scariest players on your team. Vander Esch acts like he doesn't want to hammer anybody.

I thought the reports after his injury said he did not suffer structural damage. This article indicates X-Rays were negative which to me means there was nothing in the X-ray showing damage of any kind. It says he was to get an MRI but I cannot find any reports of the results of the MRI. I think Dallas is being overly cautious with him but I do not believe there is any significant damage. They call it a strain which sounds muscular.
