How long ago it feels we were having the Comparisons of best Rookie LB or even best LB.

Between LVE & Darius Leonard of the Colts.

Leonard has led the Colts in tackles every game this season and their Defense is looking very good this year. Granted they’ve only played the likes of Jacksonville, Minnesota & NY Jets.

While every team we played basically fields a Top5 Offense if not Top3.

Do you think LVE will be able to get back into the running for best LB of that Draft Class when he gets healthy again?

If healthy all will be good with LVE.

I just hope he can play again at a decent/good level.

Quite the LB class, and Leonard certainly has blossomed into the cream of the crop so far, over guys like Smith, Edmunds, Evans and LVE.

It's a shame because that 2018 class was loaded at LB and we took the guy who probably won't be in the league longer than 4-5 years.

Roquan Smith
Tremaine Edmunds
LVE
Rashaan Evans
Darius Leonard
Fred Warner
Josey Jewell
Micah Kiser

If true, that one will hurt for a long time. Because we had a chance at drafting mostly all of those guys except Roquan Smith. LB was a priority need at that time also.

Jaylon Smith’s play dipping without having LVE next to him can’t be a coincidence. Having a Great LB like LVE was his rookie year elevated our entire Defense’s play.

The fact we haven’t had a Dominating presence at LB in a very longtime is depressing...

LVE is done buddy. Cant count on him anymore. FO has to move forward as if he wont be available. If he somehow makes it back to top form then fine.

To me, Linebacker is not as much of a priority as DT and safety.

I would pose the question in 2 parts. Can LVE stay healthy long enough to develop into a good LB. And if he can, will he? I think the answer to the 2nd part is yes. If he can stay healthy enough to get in good practice reps and continuous playing time, I think he can be the guy we saw as a rookie.

The problem is, the answer to the 1st part is unknown at best and at worst the answer is no. Young players need reps, in practice and in games. This is how they develop. LVE needs reps and he needs to feel like he is not going to be crippled by a hit one day. It will be a huge miss if he is injury prone.

Imagine how different this team would look if they took Calvin Ridley in the 1st and Fred Warner in the 2nd. They might not have picked Gallup in the 3rd or they might not have traded for Cooper.

first off LVE cant be labeled a bust if injuries' kept him off the field but when he played he did so very well, Cwill is a starter two separate coaching staff say hes starter thats 3 different OLC as well..odd fans dont get to label players bust but do anyway..

last year Hill was bust and now he a level up from a bust funny how that works..no one gave you car t blanch to label players busts, thats an opinion..

so if those other player send up backups hw are they busts? you think EVERY PLAYER DRAFTED IS SUPPOSED TO END UP INTHE PB AND HOF OR THEY ARE BUSTS?

get that mess out of here
LVE, Connor Williams, Chido, Taco

All recent high picks that are busts. Hill is looking better but he ain’t totally out of the discussion yet
