Lying Jerry - Solely Responsible for this mess

Jerry is a marketer first. "We love our guys" is his way of selling you the proverbial poop sandwich. His guys are overhyped, overrated, and overpaid. The disappointment you feel after a game like Detroit is the difference between what you think the Cowboys are vs what they really are. How many poundings must they take before everyone understands this team is not any good? How did Jerry make people forget that he did nothing in the offseason after losing some key players to free agency?

Green Bay exposed Dallas last season. Jerry let a lot of talent from that team leave without replacing them. Why would anyone expect this team would be equal or better? This 2024 team is not that team. This team is bad. When you understand that these losses will not be so painful.

I used to think they were offering up a sell job, and I still sort of do….but I’m starting to get to where I just think they are truly THAT bad at evaluating players and situations.

And narcissists do not at all believe that anyone could be better than them, or even actually be right at times. Factor in a man in his 80s with a massive ego and this is the result.

He is 100% always interested in being a headline. However, he (not other people of course) believes he has fielded a competitive Super Bowl caliber team.

The forever disconnect is that other people believe Jones thinks like they do. Bottom line, Jones thinks he is a football genius and that his football decisions are a product of his genius. He associates shortcomings or flat-out failure to others.

At least Al Davis was fixated on speed. Not sure what the hell Jerry is fixated on now outside of relevancy.

Do not contemplate too hard on what his fixation might be. That guy's brain is a bag full of cats.

Henry would not have made a difference in this team reaching the SB this season.

to me that's just and example. we have 23M in cap space. we are middle of the pack in cash spent. so him lying about not being able to afford. people around here screaming we have no cap space...

we could have signed Christian Wilkins at DAT or Grover Stewart, or Justin Jones....any of them heck of a lot better than whatever we ended up signing in 4th wave of Free agency.

the point being that jerry sucks. I know we all know that, but now even his BS can't be covered.

and that's the problem....he can't evaluate talent. if he thought Zeke was just half step below Henry, then his talent evaluation sucks.

again we know that, but all the lies are catching up with him and blowing up in his face. its going to get worse

Must be some truth to that. If Jerry picks Zeke over Henry and plays him that’s one thing; but to pick Zeke and not even give him meaningful snaps is another…make the guy earn his money, but then we know Jerry doesn’t do that…making guys earn their contracts.
