I see them following what the Patriots and Jets are doing which drafted QB's this year even though they had young QB backup.

And how is that working out for them?

Dak is athletic, has a pretty good arm, has some wheels and by all accounts is a smart kid who improved reading defenses every year.

Actually, he's none of those things.

For the Patriots, we won't know until Brady retires. For the Jets, it depends on whether they get Fitzpatrick back. In both cases, they are hedging their bets with multiple QB's and likely letting those QB's develop by having them sit for a few years.

Passing on Lynch was a major mistake. You can tell yourself different, but a second and third round pick is cheap for the future QB of this team.

Passing on Lynch was very smart. He will be an absolute bust.
