Mac Engel is on ESPN Radio and said he asked Patrick Crayton what he thought about Brandon Jacob's comments about him being a nobody. He played the audio of Crayton's response (paraphrase):

Patrick Crayton: Funny that they talk every time we play them.

Patrick Crayton: Normally when I see guys talk they are either 1) Scared 2) Trying to talk themselves into thinking they can win.

I hope Crayton has a monster game. I hope he "sucks" all the way to the end zone.

He should know. He was opening his mouth after the New England game. I think, better yet hope he learned his lesson.

Would you have guessed that Patrick Crayton would be our most vocal receiver this season?

Me neither.

True, but I think the kind of tells you just how important it is.

Which is, not very important at all.

I think Jacobs should worry less about Patrick Crayton and more about Ahmad Bradshaw.......

Crayton needs to shut up, HE talks way too much.

For a journeyman second-stringer he does talk a lot.
Iffin I were him I'd wait until he is a first-stringer and even then he ought to know enough to let his play do da talking on the field and not through his grill.
Wait . . . let his grill fire the play on the fiield . . . well, you know what ah mean!

Shuddup Crayton you superdope homeboy from the Oaktown wannabe hammer.

And he has 4.65 speed and is overpaid......

We wouldn't be 13-3 and the top seed with out him.

Imagine Glenn going down and Hurd and Austin as our other options.

TO would be miserable because he would have been double and triple teamed all year.

You may be correct but IMO I think that Austin could be just as much of a threat as Crayton( If not more becuase of his speed), just from what little I have seen of him.

Crayton has never done anything to impress me, just another average receive who has reached his peak level. Hopefully I will be proven wrong come Sunday, but I doubt it.

The thing about Crayton is he catches the ball pretty consistently. Austin drops way too many passes for the attempts he gets. That is why is the #4 WR and now with Glenn back he is #5. He barely made the team this year as it was a toss up between him and Urban. Personally I think Hurd is much better and a better future prospect than Austin.

Austin is not as polished as Crayton and does not even come close to running polished routes like Crayton.

Crayton's bread and butter is the perfect route.

Proper routes > Speed

Journeyman? This is his first NFL team, he is by no means a journeyman.

But I agree he does flaps his lips too much, I wont care if he performs on Sunday.

Not to mention actually catching the ball.

Agreed, I think Austin has much more potential though, I think with Crayton he is as good as he is going to get, but Austin has had such limited time at WR I think with more practice he can improve his rout running.
