I haven't seen a clear enough angle yet, but if a ref were on the side or ran up on that from behind them, then Jones would have been ejected from the game. Hope he is smarter than that.

Dirty plays end up in a 15 yard penalty, if caught. Clipping is definitely a dirty play. He is intentionally trying to clip and hold a guy on the same play. So yeah it's a dirty play,IMO.

But opinions vary.

Well it was a split second reaction by mac, no time to plan anything. he just grabbed the guys foot to keep him from getting to the ball.
There is no time to think in that situation you just react.
The guy got hurt due to his own reaction without thinking.
Just a freak play overall, how many times have you seen a play like that? I never have.
