DRAFT
27. Kevin Johnson (CB)
I have to admit, Wake is the one ACC team I didn't watch tons of. KJ sounds like a tremendous cover corner, though, and looks the part in videos. He projects to the end of round one-ish. His weight and the fact that he's not a great tackler makes me a bit leery, but no player is perfect. In a (more) perfect world, one of the top pass rushers falls or Marinelli falls in love with Eli Harold and the idea of putting a biggun next to him, ala Seattle, but I don't see that happening. I like Flowers or La'el Collins here too, but I think they'll both be long gone.
60. Denzel Perryman (ILB)
He may be 5-11 and he may only run 4.78 in skivvies, but when Perryman puts the pads on he's a quick, instinctive, sideline to sideline monster who's also great in coverage. One of my fave players in the draft.
91. Anthony Chickillo (DE)
Another underrated Miami player. He isn't a superb athlete, but he's relentless and strong as an ox. Perfect strong-side DE
124. Donovan Smith (OT)
Huge, mauling OT with good explosion and long arms.
155. Stephon Diggs (WR)
This guy was a Parade All-American coming out of high school and a feared receiver and return man at Maryland. He's a gifted pass catcher with good size, plays a lot faster than his combine numbers and is a real field stretcher--always a threat to blow the doors off and catch a long one; he can turn any completion into six. Injuries limited his PT some in college, but when he was on the field and healthy he was electric. I think he will be a steal on the third day.
206. Kyle Loomis (P)
Best punter in college football. He's a little older than most players coming out, but his leg is a weapon. Jones is ok, but I think a stud punter like Loomis can be a game changer.
208. Chris Bonner (QB)
In his senior year, Bonner completed over 60% of his passes at a 9.1 YPA clip, with 33 TD's and 9 INT's. At 6-3 and 230, he has a big arm and good athleticism to move around. I never saw the kid play, but everything I've read says he dominated the competition at the Div II level. To me he is well worth a seventh rounder to explore.
And one UDFA
• Henry Coley (ILB)
Not huge (6-1, 240). Not a blazer (4.78-ish). But the guy is surprisingly athletic and just makes plays. In 2014, he compiled 76 tackles, 12 for loss, and *8* sacks.
