Na, theres a lot more talent and a lot better coaching. Im expecting improvement week 1. Mid season we should hit our stride.

Of course, but expecting this D to gel right out of the gate with several new starters, new coaches, and a new DC while implementing a new defensive scheme is asking a lot. All I'm saying is it could take a few games for it all to come together.

I agree the defense will take a bit to get into its true form, but they should be a better defense right out of the gate.

A study in contrasts. The Cowboy interior DT strength of Williams and Clark vs their Runyan-JMSchmitz-Mauioga OL trio.

Whereas the Cowboys offensive tackles of Steele and Guyton vs their strength of Burns, Carter and Thibodeaux as edges. And possibly Reese randomly.

Styles/Matchups make fights.
These line of scrimmage battles will determine the game's outcome.

Steele and Guyton better have their big boy pants on for this whole game.

What I think has already been said….I expect major improvement immediately, but by the time they gel and become a solid unit, yeah it might take a bit. Things don’t have to get all that much better to be considered an improvement.

They just have to win the division though. They could be the best team in the league by week 17 but if they have to do it all from the road it’s not going to add up.

That’s very true but the Giants are in the same situation if not more with a complete new coaching staff.

True.......honestly, I think we will be fine defensively, especially the first couple of games, but I'm just saying it may take a few games for everything to come together. But we could have some zoners calling for CP head if they are not playing at an elite level after a few games ( you know how that goes).
