Whoever the Cowboys select as their next HC, I have absolutely no respect for that person.
When coaches work for Jerry Jones they have willingly abandoned whatever philosophy or unique strategy they have developed to win in today's NFL.
Whatever that strategy was, it is merely one of several in a committee where only one of them, that coach, will be held accountable.
The real HC's, the kind that wins Super Bowls, would never allow analysts, consultants, and owner's relatives, to do nothing more than advise and provide information for his decisions......HIS decisions.
In the event of a real GM, not much has to be communicated. They are already aligned in their mutual plan. After all, it was the GM that hired him and approved the staff that the HC recruited. That HC's career depends on the results his coaching creates, so of course he has the authority to create and build the team according to his specifications.
The HC for the Dallas Cowboys is nothing more than a simple employee, hired to train and prepare Jerry's team. It's a nice paycheck for a HC that couldn't find a position anywhere else. This is obvious, otherwise, why would he be here?
