True. We've all been filled with the preseason hopium before. The one thing I've noticed with these draft picks, and maybe it won't amount to anything, but they all seem very serious minded like Parker. Not a lot of class clowns in the bunch. Seems like that was a priority to them this draft. Hopefully that matters.

Hopefully most of the fanbase understands whats going on. Respect opinions, but the bottom line is, CP is taking a different approach BUT this seems like Jerry is doing what should be done and supporting his coach. Hopefully he sees what the coach is doing, supports it and stays out of his way. So far Jerry is being awesome and not 30 years of the last Jerry.

I think it took Jerry two seasons to get over the loss to Packers in the playoffs. Now he seems to fully support Schotty and his staff. Hopefully Jerry can back off his personal relationships with the players and actually let the coaches control the players. I will be watching Downs/Jerry relationship closely.

I have no idea why some people get so... almost offended at people making a distinction. Very strange.

The fact that teams are in nickel and dime formations more than 60% of the time is absolutely relevant.

My only hope is we can’t do any worse than last year ( under clueless Flus ) so hopefully we have an average NFL defense, that would be a big upgrade

Completely wrong.
None of the defensive line coaches have been retained. Why? they don't have experience coaching the 3-4. With the exception of Winters all free agents do. All draft picks were 3-4 guys.
