No trade is going to save this team. The season is pretty much over. The Cowboys are three games behind Washington and currently two games behind Philly. No chance of winning the division plus we’ve lost four conference games so no chance at a wildcard. It would take a bonafide miracle for the Cowboys to make the playoffs this season.
Agree. At this point a trade for a player will hurt the future and won't help now. This team is cooked.

Yoda, whatever obscenities you achieve by the trade deadline, for what it is wort, we do not need a FG kicker.

Yep, best to save our draft picks because if the Joneses continue to look for bargains in free agency, signing mediocre and washed up players, the draft will be our only chance to try and improve.

1st and 3rd to Seattle for DK Metcalf....that's the dirty rumor. Funny thing is.....Could of drafted him....Instead just had to have that stud Trysten Hill to stop the run.

Another McClay whiff.....
Lol, they could draft the Arizona receiver and draft a good running back with that 3.

Yup, there's no reason to salvage this season. We're going to at least have a 3rd place schedule next year (could be 4th place). We have an opportunity to address real issues. Just tank the season and trade away players.
I agree, it would be a great thing to have a high first round draft pick as well as a high second rounder for a new coach to rebuild this with. Maybe more picks too from trades if he can pull off some good ones. Give the new regime a chance to start with some difference makers.

I'm not opposed to trading for a player if it is someone who can make a difference for this team beyond this year. If it's a one-year rental, it's a bad idea. Need a DT, an RB and a second WR, and those will be needs next year, too.
Ok, who? I am struggling to find a guy.

Exactly, sometimes it's needed, and the best thing we can do is try to finish 3-14 and get a top 5 pick.

2024 Dallas Cowboys are toast. Dump salary for picks - from the top of the roster down, this team is loaded with overcompensated underperforming dreck. (Hello, Zach Martin - Mr. Washed-up).

If they’re over 30-y/o they shouldn’t be part of ANY forward-thinking plan. And any contract over $5MM/yr should be scrutinized. And please, no more Richard Steele… if EVER an NFL name were LESS apropos - I’d sure like to know about it. Our starting RT has the tensile strength of a cupcake liner. He is absolute feces.

I don't know, but what I do know is that the Joneses only react/overreact when things are going wrong. Frankly, I'd rather them overreact and get a player who might can help this team down the line than continue this poor free agency method that has hampered the team. Most likely, it would only end up being someone like Hankins -- on the back end of his career and doesn't cost too much. But we're not going to make a splash in the offseason, so I'm OK with making one now.

The worst possible scenario.
If he's going to make any moves then I hope he start moving some of the bums I watched today because it was downright pitiful. Greg Olson pointed out numerous times how our defense was late to the party all game long. Diggs should be embarrassed by his play today and should donate his game check to the NFL's Missing in Action charity because he was nowhere to be found today.

Im thinking Maxx Crosby from the Raiders. Adds play making juice and nastiness on defense. He's still young.
