THANK you. I've been saying that for 2 months but not too many in here agree. I think we can clean UP by trading down. (if we aren't taking a QB at 4 that is)
I just don't think Goff is worth gambling at 4. Wentz? Maybe, but who knows.
Totally agree. IMO you take a QB in the top five either because he is a lock Franchise QB or because you absolutely HAVE to have the pick start as a rookie. No matter what Romo is the starter next year and if he gets hurt again, none of the QBs in this draft are going to be the type to step in as a quality starter as a rookie.
We do need to take a QB in this draft but if we are taking a player to develop for two years from now, it doesn't have to be at the 4th pick of the draft. You can take a guy in the 3rd and hopefully hit on a Russell Wilson. The odds are lower, but not so much lower that you are obligated to use the 4th pick of the draft on the safer choice.
Also I think there is a reasonable chance that Lynch drops from the middle of the first to the top of the 2nd. If you have that kind of luck go your way, its a double win.
