In an apparent outreach to the most hardcore Madden players, Electronic Arts, ESPN and ESPN.com will offer a pay-per-view behind-the-scenes look at Madden NFL 07.
There is rarely a franchise big enough to warrant its own pay-per-view special, but EA thinks the upcoming Madden NFL 07 deserves some special coverage for the most serious fans of the series.
The 60-minute special, titled “Inside Madden NFL 07,“ will feature the game’s designers, as well as five top Madden players who will reveal player ratings, gaming tips and other behind-the-scenes goodies.
Top athletes will also make appearances, including the Atlanta Falcons' Warrick Dunn, Tennessee Titans’ Eddie George, Minnesota Vikings guard Steve Hutchinson, and St. Louis Rams running back Marshall Faulk.
The episode, airing August 4, will be available for $19.95 at ESPN.com or through pay-per-view service providers. Madden NFL 07 will hit shelves August 22.
In January 2005, EA signed an agreement with ESPN which would allow access to the network’s personalities and programming. Sega and developer Visual Concepts utilized the ESPN license prior to that.
BTW..I am on this show as one of those 5..
