Was anyone else as sick to their stomach at the beginning of this game where it makes you help the Steelers win the 7th Superbowl tittle? I was trying to make them lose but the game was rigged! I turned my xbox off after that and didnt play for a full day afterwards. But I need to make the Cowboys win another superbowl so I am playing now.

Naw Mines didn't, but I jumped right into Franchise Mode and the first thing I seen that was funny was a bunch of teams offering me picks and players for Bernadeau, Mackenzy

Yeah, I traded Bernadeau and a mid-round pick for Michael Brockers. I'd take that deal today in a second.

Amusingly, Wilcox is a flag magnet. Dude gets a penalty every single game!

Really? I haven't gotten one from Wilcox before but Scandrick always seems to get pegged for phantom holding calls on my side. I do like that there are actually penalties called in this years version. Random holding, off sides, def. holding, etc. Adds another element that was def. an afterthought previously as you rarely had to face common adversity such as having a 3rd down conversion called back/or defensive stop being negated by secondary penalty. Though I am growing tired of the engine, I will admit this game is better than I initially gave it credit for (@erod).

Yeah, dare I say that I am actually enjoying this years version after hating the game for the last few years.

It still seems like you can't auto-scout players though in franchise mode, or am I missing something? They made the process of scouting easier, but what if I want to just let the computer handle it?

I'm not sure if you can or not but would agree that it should be implemented the same way they let you auto progress the players. I know I left the scouting points untouched until about mid way through the season until I found out that unused scouting points don't roll over from week to week, so started throwing the points at FS and OTs just cuz they are my weak spots.

Ideally, would much prefer the scouting be set up similar to the NBA 2K GM Mode where you advise your scouts on what positions to look at, and at what depth (blue chippers, mid rounder, late-UDFAs) and whether to invest future scouting points on a prospect (scout = ceiling is low but immediate contributor, etc.)

Not sure of how this will impact the draft at all; hope you're not left completely in the dark when drafting if scouting points aren't used at all which would be gip. I would prefer they moved all the scouting to the off season as it makes it too meticulous and tedious to want to perform on a weekly basis.

Agree on all points. I get that scouting happens during the year, but I don't want to be forced to drill into that menu before every game during the actual season.

Also agree that I like the way NBA 2K handles scouting.

So I am playing the new madden on PS4 and my kicker has 10 KOs for 10 TBs with avg starting position of the 22 yard line??????
