Just further proof that while Madden might be an entertaining football SIMULATION game, it isn't really very realistic...
Yeah, Romo's only gonna complete passes to 4 different receivers Sunday night... that's real believable...
Yeah, Rex Grossman's gonna throw 4 TD passes against the Boys... he's started 25 games now, and has thrown 4 TDs in a single game exactly once...
Yeah, Cedric Benson's gonna run for 110 yards on the Boys, and the Bears are gonna go for 137 yards in 34 carries (4.1 yards per carry)... never mind that they're averaging 93.5 yards per game rushing this season, averaging 3.4 yards per carry, and have played two teams whose run defense ranks worse than the Cowboys (the Chargers and Chiefs)... never mind that 110 yards on 25 carries would be Benson's best effort in the NFL...
Yeah, the Bears are gonna put up 321 yards of total offense, and 34 points, even though they've averaged over 100 yards less in their first 2 games, and 22.5 points less...
Madden might make a fun game, but any resemblance it has to REAL football is entirely coincidental... bluntly, the Bears offense is not good enough to put up the numbers that Madden is projecting here... if the Bears win this game, it will most assuredly be a low-scoring affair, I'd bet the under if the combined points for the game was set at 35, maybe even if it was set at 30... and they have the two teams combining for 61 points??
