"Dallas already has the 31st-ranked red-zone offense, having converted less than 44% of their drives inside the 20 into touchdowns, but their seven red-zone turnovers in 2024 are the most in the NFL ..."

During Emmitt's days, it was a lot easier to score consistently in the red zone. Solution to the problem mentioned above: Ashton Jeanty!!

Will the Cowboys be more aggressive in free agency?

A year ago the Cowboys did little in free agency to help upgrade the roster and as a result we have seen their depth exposed due to the plethora of injuries they sustained this season. Jerry Jones and Company will be sure to point out getting players back healthy will help improve things, but there are still several holes they will need to fill via free agency and the draft. With the investment they've made in Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and possibly Micah Parsons, money could be tight for them once again. That probably means we'll see much of the same from them this offseason as we did last year.

Running back is a player in cap as well. Dallas has a history with sticking with a runner and ending up with a star as well.

In the four games since Head Coach Mike McCarthy “officially” named him the starter, Dowdle has had at least 86 rushing yards in three of them, and he now has back-to-back 100-yard performances.

Problem Solved: Dowdle’s Star Potential

In the early portion of this season, the lack of a running game was the biggest problem the Cowboys offense faced. Nobody was getting the job done, and the entire unit was floundering as a result.

Rico Dowdle has changed this tune, and Dallas has now scored at least 20 points in their last three games.

That might not seem impressive, but consider this: in three of their last four games before this stretch, the Cowboys failed to score more than 10 points.

The Cowboys running back room currently sits with Rico Dowdle and Deuce Vaughn.

You make a QB meet demands of this team instead of currently failing with his feature as not a good runner. There now is a functional runner needing strong work.

This isn't just gambling more he is a future Jackson. That is undisciplined team leadership and poor team accountability. Why was he let loose by SF?
Because some offensive minds want a player to work within their system, some will morph their system to fit the QB. Guys like Shanahan and McCarthy will cast a player aside , guys like KM will build a system around a player’s strengths. Either put Lance in a system he can be effective in or cut bait.
