Question was how do they feel about the team at this point.
Standard answers pretty much.
As we all will say, again, and again. Still need to see it on the field. As one of the answers, no pads on yet.

Will not be any major roster changes even though some fans want some.
It will be basic roster churning, as we seen the past week on some of the moves already made.
Spy this roster is pretty well set in seems. And as they said. The roster will need to work itself out now when TC starts.

We all know the major overhaul on defense. Not only the players but also the coaching staff. That many are high on.
Not just some fans, but local and national media as well.

Can't wait to see it all unfold, and how they develop and improve on defense as the season progresses.
We know what the offense can do.

I will add this also. Brian S. happy about the off season.

"A lot of teams around the league cancelled their respective minicamps entirely. Schottenheimer understands why, and recognized that OTAs are difficult but still an opportunity to make progress ahead of camp.
"It's just hard to practice with some of the rules that we're restricted under," Schottenheimer said. "I think we got a lot of really good things done. I've done more seven-on-seven than I ever want to do again in my life, but it's kind of what we need to do."

"I believe defense wins championships," Schottenheimer said. "I do believe that. And so if the defense is giving up headaches, that's fine by me."
Schotty is clearly on board with the defensive additions and didn't bend a knee to what CP wanted like some suggest.

Here's my thought and it'll be short, not really, this time pun intended,

they were running around in shorts there wasn't really a lot of tackling going on there wasn't any organized football being played you know 7 on 7 eleven on 11!!

I'm with Dan Campbell there's really no thoughts there's nothing to see except they were just preparing themselves on what it was going to be like to be at camp and the things they needed to study for their position, you know they're part of the playbooks were handed out, they went over how they wanted to get that done, that's it there was nothing really accomplished in what Dan Campbell said is the pajama party.

Running around at half speed and shorts almost usually running against air they're not even running against corners you know receivers none of that was going on man,

I mean this is just what these Otas and mini camps are for is to get on a plan for real camp training camp and scrimmages is where it all begins and when they're really putting the pads on and they have a couple days a week where they're hitting and sort of tackling that's when it starts to become apparent on what we've been hearing versus what's going to be the reality of what we're seeing...

You are still looking at tit the wrong way. Nor maybe do not or want to understand.
The reason for this is to instill the basics. Get them prepared for TC, too. know what to do and what to expect.

See how well players grasp the system and changes.

They do not need to see if they can tackle or block or catch the football. They have hundreds of hours of film to know what the players can do, or did do in college or for other teams.

Anything that needs corrected or adjusted or improved upon will be done in TC.

As a Cowboys fan who witnessed embarassing gaffs in-game last year I am not opposed to these players having to spend more 'classroon time' learning and getting ready for a new year. Especially the defence who is working with the new coordinator for the first time.

I have a suspicion that some of the players are not necessarily the sharpest minds in society so any extra practice on concepts, communication and technique is not a bad thing.

As for Dan Campbell calling it a pyjama party. It only is what you call it unless you do something meaningful about it within the confines of the rules. Instread of whining makes something useful of the time you have together.

I actually like what Dan Campbell said because he's true you're not going to find any value as a fan or even from the media from just watching what they're doing right now it's all a setup for training camp in preseason that's all it is It is nothing more than them running around in short so anybody posting how great somebody looks coming in and out of cjts, routes, And frankly running around cones and trash cans and running into blocking sleds etc

I 100 percent get all that I don't need that part of the information what I said holds true 'cause I guarantee Murray and that whole bunch last year looked good and damn shorts, They look good in Otas they look good in mini camp they look good and walk through practices but they didn't look good in real games they didn't look good when it was time to actually run a game plan so when we get to that meet of those types of situations I want to see situational football before we start coming to conclusions I understand what OTAs in many camps are for..

What I'm saying is updates and videos do not matter because what you're seeing is nothing but air... I'm not impressed I'm also not gonna be impressed Or altered in any way of the way I think about these players like when I hear OH,

So and so is getting first team reps of course he is because most of the veteran starters are not really doing much they're bubble wrap like we hear Phil Mafah that's great he's getting first team reps and that means nothing and how the depth chart is going to be set that will happen after the preseason games we see them in real situations.. It's the same thing you keep getting these reports clarence Hill was wrong and he was right literally overshown is not the penciled in middle linebacker he is simply getting reps in minicamp and he'll get some in training camp He may play some in preseason but that does not make him the starting middle linebacker game one they are literally just utilizing the whole flex positional practice them all that just in case we need you so whenever we keep hearing these reports they mean nothing...

Did you forget how many thought CP was running the draft because of all the defensive players getting taken and Schotty had no say?
That little snippet from Schottie didn’t allude to that - are you referring to a different article??

...that's just the sittuation. The overhaul on defense will either spark or fizzle.

Much hype surrounds it. As Homers, we see it happening to OUR advantage.

.....were gonna have to wait, to see it.

Downs is a home run. Extreme athlete and super intelligent. Green dot? Likely.

Law is a 2nd day pick with good speed. But we need a LT.

Barham? Likely doesn’t even start. Passed over All Conf/All American OT.

Where was Shotty???
