Including trades, free agents and rookies, which offseason additions do you think made the biggest impact at Philadelphia? Kenny Clark looks to be a very nice addition, and if the weather was better, I think George Pickens would have racked up at least 70 to 80 yards receiving. Who made the biggest impressions on you? – Danny Whitehouse/Kingsland, TX

Mickey: Let me hold myself to two, since there were a slew of new players making an impact in the season opener, including the two you mentioned. Why don't we go with linebacker Kenneth Murray, who led Tennessee with 95 tackles last year, playing in just 14 games. He started off his Cowboys career with a bang, tying for the team lead with nine tackles against the Eagles, and a sure bang for the Cowboys giving up merely a sixth-round pick to the Titans for Murray and a seventh in return. Also, first round draft choice Tyler Booker,

I'm convinced that Mickey doesn't even watch the games anymore and just pulls up the box score before he writes his next article.
Im sure he watches, but didn’t they give Murray like seven million? His job is to attempt to offset every other outlet that’s bashing Murray’s performance and/or the signing in the first place. Typical, and I don’t blame Mickey for earning a living. I just don’t read him. Sad because I recall reading him long ago, but he was in a very different spot.

Either way it’s one game. Odd mailbag question to respond to that being the case.

Clark made a bigger impact than Murray did.

Could be, I can’t say for sure, but I do know that even if the DL plays well vs the run, there needs to be LBs there to clean up and make the play.

It’s only one game and I’m sure they just wanted to err on the side of using vets in that spot vs that team on the road.

The kids will get their chance.

Kenny Clark has to be considered for sure.

Just getting here and thrown into the fire, he play pretty well.

Osa may be the biggest benefactor of playing along side Clark and learning from the pro bowler.
...good points. The fact Kenny already situated himself with Dallas vibe is huge.

He mixed right in with fellas, played his game. Im sure others are befitting from his presense.

Absolutely.

That's how a leader rolls. They don't need to talk. And that's exactly what he did.

No talking.

Just straight to work.

I agree. To me it wasn’t close. I also want to add to what @Praxit and @Pass2Run was discussing. The fact that Clark came in and just acclimated himself into the defense and the team is really impressive. I hope we keep him next year, not at 20 million due to his age, but I hope we find a way to restructure his deal. I was thinking this guy comes in on bad circumstances due to us trading our best defensive player, comes to work, does his job, and not a peep out of him is awesome. Dude’s a keeper.

Totally agree hats off to Kenny Clark he played really well wish we could draft somebody like that at some point.
I thought That Dak had a good game.
The offensive line as a whole did pretty well.
Other than Fowler and CD lamb the rest of the team looked like it was ready to play
