not getting to the superbowl at all which would be better. I have seen a few experts having us loseing the Superbowl this year. I know I know we have to win a playoff game but I was just wondering what the thoughts are regarding this question.

I don't know about that rock. Boy if we don't at least win a playoff game, you will never be able to say anything to the haters. All I hear now from them is that we haven't won a playoff game in 12 years!:bang2:

Dallas only loses SB's that are held in Miami...not Tampa.

It depends how we lose in the SB.

If we clearly lose to a superior team in the SB, I'll take that over not getting to the SB at all.

Unless we win the Super Bowl or miss the playoffs...our season will end with a loss. So if the season is going to end up in a loss anyway, might as well be in the Super Bowl as opposed to a playoff or regular season game.

That's one twisted, messed up question, and some of the answers are a bit twisted too.

How can anyone prefer not going to the SB over losing in the super bowl? Unimaginable.

When you go to the SB and lose, you are the 2nd best team in the entire NFL as opposed to being just another playoff team or worse. There's no shame in losing the SB...sometimes you have a team that isn't even supposed to get to the SB, like last season's Giants. They could have lost the SB and still had an amazing season and bragging rights over Dallas and the entire NFC.

NOpe, I like being the King of the NFC...I like actually caring about the SB game instead of just drinking and eating at a party...I always want the Cowboys to go as far as they can. Whether you lose the final game of the season and miss the playoffs or lose your first round game of the playoffs or lose in the NFC Championship or SB, losing the final game always is a bitter thing, but I'd sure as hell rather that final loss be in the SB than somewhere short of it.

I respect everyone's right to a differing opinon, but I just don't understand the other thinking at all. If you lost in the NFC title game, wouldn't you be just as disappointed over the way the season ended one game short of the SB as you would losing in the SB?
