Based on their previous tries, I feel we have already seen what to expect from Wade Phillips and Norv Turner as head coaches. The possibility of getting a young "Jimmy Johnson" is very appealing. From what I have read, Ron Rivera appears to be the best option. The critics say that we cannot wait until after the Super Bowl, because it would be difficult to hire assistant coaches. But isn't the main thing to hire the right head coach? That should be priority one. Looking at the big picture, it is the head coach that will bring stability and leadership for years to come... assistants may come and go. Obviously, it would have been better to interview Rivera weeks ago, and allowed him to get the first choice of his coaches, but Bill's timing didn't allow the team that luxury. The length of coaching tenure since Tom Landry has been laughable for an organization the caliber of the Dallas Cowboys. I hope hiring a coach that will lead this team for years to come is still the main thing.
