It is that time of the year again. Just like last season, I thought it would be fun for everyone to make three Cowboys (and only about the Cowboys) related predictions for the upcoming 2011/2012 season. Unlike last season, I will make it a point to re-sticky this season's predictions right after the Super Bowl in 2012.

You do not have to make bold predictions in this thread, but please try to be more creative and add at least one or two predictions that do not involve season win/loss record, ??? player of the year or MVP, stat leaders, playoff wins/losses, the super bowl or coaching changes.

*** Any posts that violate these rules will be deleted or edited! ***

Guidelines
  • Your predictions must be about the Cowboys and ONLY about the Cowboys.
  • You can make positive or negative predictions but please do not include insults or added commentary.
  • Do not make more than one post in this thread. This is not a discussion thread! It is a prediction thread.
  • Do not make more than 3 predictions! You can make less predictions if you like but do not make more than 3 and that includes trying to get around this by combining predictions.

We will lock this thread soon and then after the season is over, we will re-sticky it to see which predictions panned out.

Buehler will clearly win a game and arguably lose a game for the Cowboys.
Scandrick will prove to be the team's top CB.
Felix will have more receiving big plays (20+yds/TD) than rushing.

1. We will all see Jason Garrett all over this team, from the very first game. It will be obvious to everyone that a new guy is in charge and he isn't playing around.

2. Rob Ryan will get more camera time this season than Jason Garrett.

3. At least once this season, you will hear a color analyst (Probably Gruden or Jaworski) talk about the exotic and unique run blocking schemes Garrett can use because of Witten's blocking skills, and the unique skill sets of Smith and Free.

What do I win?

1 There will be important contributors on the roster at the end of the season that almost nobody would have foreseen at the start of the year.
2 The Boys will win 4 games in a row at one point this season.
3 The Cowboys will be drafting in the top 18 next season.

ps this isn't really a prediction, but even on a bad team, Romo will be a heckuva player.

I think these three things will happen:

1.Boys fans will go beserk and bash Rob Ryan relentlessly for 6 weeks, until our Defense gels, and then will praise and love him the rest of the year.

2.I think T.Choice gets to carry the ball early on and makes a lot of fans eat crow.He won't be traded.

3. We will not have kicking issues this year. Bailey will be solid.

1) Defense won't be good early, but will be good by end of year or much better than first half.

2) Safety play will be way better, both Elam and Sensy will be very good, the best combo since Darren and Roy Williams roamed together ( again, probably better by end of the year than begining of the year).

3) Felix Jones will be Pro-bowler or borderline pro-bowl candidate.

Austin is still the clear #1 receiver at seasons end.

Romo's passer efficiency is higher than Aaron Rodger's at season's end.

Offensive line is considerably improved over last year, even without Gurode.

2. Elam turns out to be a pleasant surprise for us.
3. Felix will be a top 5 back in YPC and a top 10 back in total yards.
