Oh yea, my bad. Slater then lol.In my scenario, all three receivers are off the board, but I get why you like Waddle.

Yuck!!Daniel Jeremiah has us drafting Quitty Paye DE, Michigan with all of the defensive players still on the board. If this happens there will be lots of broken television screens around the world.
I could see that as they signed Cameron Erving to start at LT.Surtain.
Incidentally, the Panthers play-by-play guy said today that he thinks Carolina will go OL at pick 8, meaning Slater could easily be off the board by the 10th pick.
I'm a big Slater guy, but feel Parsons is about on the same level. Both are blue chip prospects, where Slater is more high floor, Parsons high upside. Positional value is the decider for me, especially id Slater does indeed play Tackle down the line.
It appears our top 3 consensus here, in no particular order is Slater, Surtain, Parsons. I am fine with any of the three. I am bit surprised nobody said Horn, who could very well be in contention, even over Surtain.
Yuck!!
Surtain
reason:
According to Pro Football Focus, Surtain played the most defensive snaps without a penalty committed this season (916) while allowing 6 penalties the season prior.
A Technical Marvel: What’s most impressive about Patrick Surtain is his ability to understand route combinations and drive at the ball. He rarely misses a step and quick to react when the ball is in the air.
This is a guy who rarely gets thrown at. Surtain was targeted only one time per every 10 coverage snaps and allowed a reception every 25 coverage snaps (#1 in the country).
Man coverage will likely be his biggest strength in the NFL.
Patrick Surtain II is by far the best press-man cornerback in the draft. He’s got skills that will allow him to thrive on the outside and in a Cover-3 scheme in the NFL.

Imagine Diggs against WR2's.
Sometimes the best defensive players are the ones never mentioned.
Most know this. Many also realize that there are no front seven prospects that are worthy of being taken in the top ten.Don't most corners need help from the front 7 pressure in order to be effective?
Did DLaw, Gregory and friends just morph into the Steel Curtain?
Point being you can have a secondary full of Deion's but if the opposing QB has all day, you lose.
That's football reality.
Even a few of the more knowledgeable guys(I thought) shock me with responses of a corner's impact against an elite olinemen.
In Dallas?
A corner more important to team success than an olinemen?
You don't build your dee from the back end forward in the first place but that's an entirely separate conversation.
Smh, lol

I love having Diggs back in the secondary and I think Surtain will make that secondary much stronger.

At 10 would you rather take a very good prospect at OL, a very good prospect at CB, or a solid prospect along the DL. The DL prospects at the top of the rankings aren't that much better than the prospects you with see in rounds 2 or 3.
It sucks that there is no Chase Young or Joey Boss in this year's draft. But that's the reality. We aren't fixing all our problems with this draft. It's going to be a couple of more off seasons.
Surtain.

He isn't physically overmatched, actually it's one of his strengths. Kind of like the yr prior when everyone was getting burned by Chase, Pitts done the same this yr in the SEC.Why surprised, you yourself said you werent high on Horn. He looks like an over eager puppy, dump and run and despite being tall appears physically outmatched, though basing this on his play against Pitts.
but then Pitts will be there
