Making a case for Poona Ford

we have a couple that fit his profile but I dont mind a fifth round pick on him

I don't know that Ford checks all the boxes on the Cowboys player profile but I like the guy. He has the right kind of motor, he fits the scheme as a 3Tech and he's a good football player. I'm actually shocked that he was not invited to the Combine.

He's 5'11" that's why he didn't get an invite and that's why he was a 3 star prospect out of high school when his tape was high 4 star caliber and that's why some team is going to get a steal. 300 pounds at 5'11" with the wingspan of Tyron smith. He wins the leverage battle easy.

Love Poona Ford. Someone is going to get a great player for a bargain. He’s proved people wrong his whole career.

Let me first say, I don't know much about him and I am also in the camp of just finding talent. Although I think there is a of of merit what Parcells said about outliers. That if you take one, before you know it, you have a team full of outliers. You need to be careful there.

If they drafted Ford and him and Lewis Neal made the team, you are getting close to having Switzer and Beasley look at our defense and say "man, those guys are small" :)

Ford: 80-1/4"

Tyron: 84-5/8"

David Irving: 87-3/4"

I said wingspan I meant ape index, if he were 6 inches taller he'd be very comparable to Tyron Smith. Same with Irving if he were 2 inches shorter.
