I've been doing a little research because I figured that it would be cool hobby, making my own music. But there are a lot of sites out there, so I was wondering if anybody is doing it, and can point me in the right direction?

Right now I'm starting off with JamStudio.com. It's pretty good, although the mp3 mixes that I'm supposed to be sending to my e-mail address aren't showing up. And apparently that happens a lot from reading their forum. So I guess I'm looking for something better. Any other ideas?

I already PM'd Juke, since he's the music master on here, about getting some help learning chords and such because right now I'm just kind of playing around in the dark finding out which sounds good together. Idk, if anyone else would like to chip in, and educate me a little bit on them, it would be greatly appreciated.

Reason is pretty good.

Get a midi controller and you're set.

Reason is much better, but takes longer to figure out.

Midi keyboard is a must though.

I knew a kid a while back who was incredibly talented at making music. I mean ridiculously talented.

He was a master with Reason and I was so jacked up to see what he was doing that I bought a midi controller and downloaded Reason, only to find out that I absolutely suck.

You could get by with someone like this.

You don't have to have a midi controller but it makes things a lot easier to visualize.

You could input things using a mouse if you put the time into it.

There's another one.

The midi keyboard basically tells the software what to trigger. Many are useless without being hooked up to something because they don't have speakers built in.

They are literally a mouse in the shape a keyboard.

Very cool, Hoofy. A Guitar Center store near my house has that 2nd MIDI in stock. So I'm gonna pop on by tomorrow.

I went into BestBuy today to see what they have as far as software goes. They have Reason, and some other less expensive ones that I'm gonna check into.

Thanks, dude.
