For any 43 defense that needs a DT... and specifically, needs a 3-tech DT... Collins would have been a pretty easy pick in the second half of the first round.

I don't see Brown as having shown enough to be a first rounder in a redraft (although he may prove to be that good this year). I'd say second round for him.

Two top 5 picks (Dak and Zeke), a mid to late first round pick, and a second. Geezus what a draft. And that is with Smith and Tapper getting a grade of incomplete. They may still hit or at least be solid.
Second round is where you are looking for a guy who WILL be one of your top 3 CB's and HOPEFULLY one of your top 2 CB's. I think that fits Brown right now

We could potentially have 6 players worthy of top 90 picks (or top 60 depending on if Tapper excels) from that draft. Not including Rico

Well brown ( CB) isn't as good as Landon Collins (safety) and Collins was picked at #33 the previous year, so I'd have to say late second round or early third for Brown. :muttley:

Brown and Collins have impressed, but I would put Brown in the 3rd and Collins in the high-2nd range...throw in 3 top ten picks if Jaylon works out...

...I have said several times in threads this could be the best draft in team history and possibly one of the tops ones in NFL history, sticking by that

Brown goes higher. Early second. Collins maybe late second, early third where he was taken in 2016.

So if Collins or Brown were in this year's draft, would you take either (or both) at 28 knowing what we know about them now?

Collins is scheme specific to this defense. He's not for everyone. What he showed this past year is his last year in Nebraska he wasn't put in a position to succeed and his draft position suffered. Maybe back to a late 1st-early 2nd projection.

Brown probably a 3. Which is where Dane Brugler had him against the consensus.

At first I thought that would be a little high for both but maybe not Collins based on his production in '16.

Brown? I'm thinking late 2nd round at the earliest. No later than 3rd round.

Such unbelievable value we got with both picks. I still can't believe what a draft we had

When our 2016 class is discussed, the focus tends to be on Prescott and Elliott. The value we got in both Collins and Brown gets somewhat glossed over.

If the NFL re-drafted to 2016 draft, where do you think Collins and Brown would go?
I say Brown, 1st round. CB's with his kind of speed is valued. He aced the pre-draft process recording the 2nd fastest CB time at the Combine (4.35). Collins prob 2 round.

If I recall Landon Collins had a very rough rookie year. He turned it on the following year. So, to be fair you have to consider Brown vs Landon Collins' rookie year. I'd say Cowboys Brown better than rookie year Landon Collins.

Don't follow his career. But did he play cb his rookie year? Free safeties don't have the coverage responsibilities on the outside as cb's do.

What is a re-draft? How does that work? Do we go into it with the knowledge we have now? How does that effect the space time continuum?
