Malik McDowell - RKG?

In April, a stolen truck’s GPS unit was traced to a closed garage at McDowell’s residence. McDowell claimed he had purchased the $74,000 Ford F-150 Raptor pickup for $3,000 off the street. The truck is one of several to be stolen from a Ford Motor Company overflow lot in Dearborn.

Yea, sounds legit.

Sure.. a Raptor for 3k.... McDowell..."Well, it sounded like a good price."

He has made 4 million in the last 2 years playing for the seahags. Due another 1.5 this year. And he is looking for a 75k truck for 3k and thinks its legit. Get off the streets and stay in the gym and training and you would have a job. This a short career and a chance to make your life’s money in 5 years or so.

IIRC he was only allowed to keep ~$1.6mil of his signing bonus from Seattle, out of the ~$3.2m he was supposed to get. Reading articles it's hard to tell if he had/has received $2.4m to date and Seattle wants the 800k ruled by the arbitrator that Seattle is allowed to.

I don't think he's due anything this year due to his injury settlement/release.

But in timing that is germane to this week’s lawsuit, McDowell signed a four-year, $6.95 million contract with $3.19 million in bonus money several weeks before his accident. As part of that contract, the Seahawks were to pay McDowell that bonus in four increments. The team ultimately paid out three installments and withheld a fourth for nearly $800,000 following the revelation of his injury. After negotiations with the NFL Players Association and going through arbitration, Seattle agreed to forfeit half of the agreed-upon signing bonus, which still required McDowell to repay $799,238. The suit alleges McDowell never did despite attempts by the team to recoup the funds, leading to this week’s lawsuit.

With the legal issues, he may be dead broke this year. Sad. Especially for a guy who had the potential to be a good player in the NFL.

Waiting for the media to say this....Former Dallas Cowboys work out player linked to stolen truck....as you know they will not say ...former Seahawk...

I think this closes the book on any further talk of Malik McDowell in regard to the Dallas Cowboys.

Hope so.
Give Jerry credit.

Though it was probably others, but being facetious.

They addressed the DT as well as the DE position well this off season.

Most definitely. I give the personnel people a lot of credit for their recent work. This roster is as good as any in the league.
