Wow!

Ok ok what conference is Liberty in?

The last of the .....well he isn't mobile.....is finally gone with Tom Brady. Ya really do need a guy with some wheels in todays game, and he has that.

What “ wheels “ do Stafford Burrow Rodgers possess ?

Give me a guy who gets the ball downfield rather then scrambling for his life. This kid went to Liberty ? Who do they play UT Chattanooga ? Temple ?

As Randy Moss would say “ c’mon man “ …

Has the lights dimmed for LaMar Jackson ? I mean Baltimore hasn’t sniffed playoff success under Jackson and same in Arizona under Kingsbury and Murray .

Burrow & Stafford sling the ball downfield.
Look people are screaming for Prescott to “ take off “ more and that might stretch a chain every now and then but I want Dak hitting 19 & 88 plus number 1 25-30 yards downfield .

Rodgers is very mobile, over 3000 NFL rushing yards and Burrow can scoot as we see here...

Stafford is no Brady, Eli, Rivers, Peyton.

Third and three there stands Philip Rivers, the defense has no concerns at all about will he run, of course not, so full attention goes to the receivers. Now with Jackson, Murray back there there is a...run??? Whole other deal. Now add being able to extend plays. Give me a mobile QB every day of the week.

A QB getting the ball to his playmakers is cool, but what is cooler is when that QB is also a playmaker.

Aikman Staubach Brady Rodgers Brees Manning Herbert And on and on and on give me the guy with the rocket launcher hitting the target then “ wheels “ any day .

Some people never saw Fran Tarkenton the youngsters on the forum but I saw a QB who could scramble got the Vikings to 4 SB’s and yep lost all four SB’s to guys in the pocket slinging it downfield the Snake Stablers the Terry Bradshaws the Lenny Dawson’s of the landscape back then .

Today you still got to hit the receiver . LaMar Jackson can scoot but can the guy win a SB ? Can Kyler Murray ?

Timb one of the better posters in this forum had the Texans taking Willis early first round . No way . The Texans found a pocket passer 3rd round in Davis Mills last year and with some good drafts build some talent around this young QB and Lovie Smith can win with this Pocket passer.

Missing the point, nobody is talking about a guy who can't pass, come on. Talking about "MOBILE" QB's, that ability to escape a pass rush, ya know.....extend a play.

These edge rushers(even a new name) are far faster than back in the day, ya need a QB who can move. Herbert, Burrow can move, not talking about a 4.3 sprinter.

McNabb at MSU was a runner we drafted him because he was mobile.

A pocket passer doesn't extend plays, they can't take advantage of those 15 yards staring at him so run.

I was looking at some mock drafts supposedly either the Washington Commanders ( lousy name ) or the Steelers are seriously thinking of taking the kid out of Liberty first round . The juries out on Trey Lance North Dakota St . Carson Wentz North Dakota st . Every year he seems to get worst . Zach Wilson BYU had a lousy year. It’s a gamble taking small school QB’s .

I noticed the clip of Willis you kindly posted had Campbell as the opposition to Liberty . The only Campbell I know is a soup company ?

He's a good college QB. But he is 100% first read then run quarterback. So was Tim Bebow, Johnny football, and now Jalen Hurts, Justin Fields, Jordan Love, and Trey Lance. They're not NFL ready. Draft one of them at your own risk. I wouldn't draft Willis any higher than a 4th round pick.

The only two quarterbacks that look like they might at times go through some progressions are Pickett and Corral.

They still have to be able to throw the ball. This is why Jalen Hurts won't be on the Eagles after this upcoming season. A QB can't come into the NFL, look to his first read, and if it's not there, take off or break out of the pocket. They can do that with great success in college.

Exactly . Kyler Murray will only take you so far .

Watching the Senior Bowl, I want to see Willis push the ball down field, but I watched Malik running more than throwing. I don't know what to do with him.

What dual threat QBs have super bowl rings? Even Pat Mahomes has never rushed for 400 yards in a season, he’s got wheels but he maintains a pocket passer

It sounds great in theory, but if you’re not a proficient drop back QB, you’re likely not leading your team anywhere

My take on Willis is he's like Jacoby Brissett. I think he's decent but lacks the upside to be great. Its a down QB class in his years draft. Very uninspiring. 1 guy doesn't jump out at you.

Agree. He looks like a very Raw Jacoby Brissett. Hard 2 gauge his ceiling. For that reason, I think he falls into the early 2nd round.

Mahomes is exactly the poster child for this. He averages over 60 runs a season, 5 yards a carry he is that.....run? pass?.....he is what I'm talking about. Rodgers can run, Wilson can run, Allen can run, Burrow can run, when we drafted Dak he could run. That ability to extend plays and escape a pass rush never been more important than it right now with all these stud edge rushers. Number one pick in the draft......edge rusher out of Michigan.

Obviously....the guy has to be able to throw a football, but having good speed and being able to scoot 15 yards down the field an important asset. Planting that seed......will he run or pass beats the hell out of....he can't run must pass.

Ah that gang of Mahomes Rodgers, Wilson, Allen....as good as it gets today all mobile.

60 runs a season is 5 runs a game at 5 ypc? 25 rushing yards a game is what pre-injury Dak Prescott did, Justin Herbert does, even Ryan Tannehill has a couple 55-60 rush seasons. That is definitely not the kind of QB Malik Willis is.

Wrong, the key word here is "mobility" which is Willis. Obviously we have degrees of mobility just like we doing passing,

Matt Ryan averages 35ish rushes a season he isn't mobile, Eli wasn't mobile, Rivers not mobile, Brady not mobile.
